I don't have the time to invest, plain and simple. I don't want to start the vet levels over - but there's a great group I'd like to play with on another faction! Particularly nearing completion in my crafting skills, ESO is a game I really just want to play the one character in. It could cost money, be time-limited, or outright single-use!
In lieu of that, are there any large guilds on AD NA that have active VOIP community? I can't find a group to chill with to pass the time in this very laid-back game. A lot of guild claim they use voip but are perhaps two or three in one channel per night, I'm looking for a group large enough to warrant a couple channels just to keep chatter manageable. A community at least a bit bigger than just a clan.
Reward for handing in Caldwell's Gold should have been one bound faction change token.
After all - if you had come that far you finally should have "experienced" all the other alliances like Meridia suggested... and now know where you truly want to be.

I dont think its really a good idea, it will probably kill PvP. Slackers and pvpwhores will just change to the strongest faction at first and then more will follow and at last you end up with only one strong fraction, or 2. Ive seen it in plenty more games so I speak of experience. I choose AD at first and I stand or die with AD no matter. If your unhappy reroll sry but thats it... Im really worried such choice would ruin Pvp for good the parts that still work ok today!

The point you make about balance is exactly the reason they should not and hopefully will not be implemented. Unfortunately, with AvA, RvR type PvP many players go to the alliances that already have more people playing in it so offering an easy way to switch would undermine the PvP we have. Those that can afford the crown will all end up in the same alliance.
All that's going to happen anyway. Unhappy DC PvEers (and probably some PvPers) like me are already rolling alts in droves to get our buffs back. Any NEW player is going to find out fast which factions are gimped, and they're not even going to think twice about rolling to the "preferred" faction.
Given those trends, I believe the most ETHICAL thing ZoS could do is to make faction change an option, so that the players who have invested in this game the longest don't feel like their toons are fatally gimped without any remedy. I don't care if they put faction change in the Crown Store or as an in-game quest... but it needs to be there!

Yeah that's not true at all.
