Resolve now only gives you extra armour for each piece of heavy worn.

Resolve on live gives both armour and spell resistance for each piece of heavy worn.

Discuss.

Maybe because armor penetration is higher than spell penetration, maybe to balance the damage of both sources and make it more even. Not sure to be honest.

The majority of bosses use magical attacks. Maybe it's meant to balance dungeons or so.

As long as items still give armor and spellres i`m ok with it.

Players: "Hey Devs, heavy armor is the weakest in PvP."

Devs: "Okay, we'll give it a little nerf."

What kind of logic is this?

I just rechecked it on pts. Its still the same like it is on live.

Even though it states that it increases only armor, spellres is also increased.

So it's only a typo or so. Even if not, they did something else to keep spell resistance at the same level.

Make sure to /bug it ingame. Maybe the apparent typo will be fixed by the patch after release.

My dk got naked with his passives 3300 spellres & 0 Armor

When Equiping the Black rose chest, wich got 2772 Armor(and spellres since those values are the same) he should have 6072 Spellres and 2772 Armor. He got it. Checked.

Now with resolve fully skilled, 1 piece of armor Grants u 362 Amor! (there is no mention about spellres) the values are the following: Spellres 6434 and Armor is at 3134.

There is nothing wrong, and everything just like in 1.6.

Please guys, when u test stuff like this, check passives, and most important, check the stupid scroll bonuses and such. Thx.

I did the same and the Tooltip is wrong

    I did the following:
no armor at all : 0 Spell and 0 Armor Resistance
Put on a gold HA Helmet for 2369 Resistance (on the tool tip of the piece of Armor)
And in the general overview is stated: 2725 Spell and also 2725 Armor Resistance
This fits perfectly to the statement in Resolve where is stated that Armor is increased with 356

    But oh oh oh
This game should function for casual players that should be able to rely on tool tips

I just had to agree

Would be nice if ppl that are capable of reading tooltips would also be capable of doin some simple tests to verify the stuff that they put in the forums......

I think they are trying to differentiate between...
    Spell resistance & Physical resistance.

Armour = Spell + Physical resistance.

If you look at all the sets you see plysical resistance used instead of armour.
So I think armour is a catch all for both.

    http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Sets

So essentially they are changing tooltips to be consistent and concise.

Really? Why did you feel the need to change the name of the topic? Now no one will know what this thread was about (a bug in the wording of the Heavy Armor passive Resolve) until the read it. And they will with that title.
