Power leveling

I have been playing around on a new character and decided I am tired of aimlessly questing, so I tried something new. I did the main quest line in each zone for the skill points, rode around and collected all the skyshards, dolmens, solo delves, and the group delve. I was able to out level the area I was in and complete each map in about 3 to 4 hours. Some maps took a little longer because they are bigger but I was easily able to get to level 43 in about a day or two of playing and barely did any questing nor did I use any xp potions. I would probably be a lot higher level if I used the xp potions. This game becomes very easy to level through once you know what you are doing.

Yeah the questing xp is a joke doing anything other then being afk is quicker leveling

This method actually works really well.

    Exploration exp is surprisingly helpful.

Would you recommend crafting a set of armor with the exploration bonus on them?

I level pretty quickly doing quests. Never been a fan of grinding, but everyone has their own preferences.

And if you try to do both, you end up significantly over-leveled - as I found out.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

The heroes during times of war, are nothing but mass murderers during times of peace.

You were filling me with confidence in your solution to power levelling until I read this. You do realise there's a big gap between one and two days, right?

To be fair if you grind you can get to 50 in about 7-9 hours.

1 or 2 days of how many hours per day? That's the real question? Insightful non the less.

Grinding is terrible at lower levels I find, i have no good AEO abilities as a night blade and only one bar so pulling mobs is hard

How can you level being afk? I always get timed out and dumped out of the game.

Well it depends on how much time you spend in game. You can easily do it in one day if you have a partner and spend all day playing, it takes 2 days for the average player if you solo everything and can't play straight through the day.

I start off with experience gain for my armor then when my armor reaches around lvl 40ish I switch to full exploration traits.

I pretty much do the same method OP. Main story, FG, MG, faction story, dolmens, WBs, solo delves. I grab the skyshard from the group delve (but don't run the whole delve; unless a group happens to be LF1M I do not wait around).

Gets all the skill points, involves no grinding. I find I'm leveled enough doing this to move comfortably to the next zone without using the exploration trait on any gear. If you did use explo gear you could probably skip some of the other stuff.

Really the main slowdown is when my inventory fills up and I need to go to town to vendor, otherwise it's pretty quick.

Have you tried to incorporate the ring of Mara thingy in or does that split exp gains with more people?

Ring of mara would definitely make it faster if you had a dedicated leveling buddy, problem is that ppl have different schedules so it's difficult to power level with someone.

Exactly, no grinding required, you just have to fight mobs in the delves and world bosses and do the 3 or 4 main quests in the zone.

Last character I levelled just by doing the main quests in each zone, and doing the group dungeons. I did repeat the group dungeons a few times, but I enjoyed being in a group more than soloing quests.

I don't get the point in rushing through MMOs anymore.
Good MMOs are like eating lobster(or whatever fancy dish you prefer). You don't scarf it down, you take your time and savour it.

Every MMO I've rushed to the top level with, I became disappointed in myself because the adventurous side is no more.
No more new things to see, no more endless amount of questions and overwhelming thoughts of what to do next.

Instead, you reach the top and then shortly after, you become bored of repetition and standing around waiting for groups to form, to grind out the inevitable game of chance, for that ONE item to drop.

With ESO, I'm taking my time.(And why shouldn't I? I'm not forced to pay a premium monthly fee to play ESO, so I don't need to rush anything to get my moneys worth.)

Currently at VR10 and I'm one zone away from completing Cadwells Almanac, woo hoo!
I'm glad I've spent 75% of my time in Cyrodiil, because knowing that all the zones would have been explored already if I haven't, makes me yawn at the fact that there really isn't anything new to see at this point.

Dungeons, DSA? Meh, it's all the same in MMOs. I like seeing new landscapes, treasures, discoveries, caves etc....
At least the landscapes are fresh, for now.

Who can grind to the top the fastest, has already taken it's course in this game.
PC players have had a whole year start on me, and that in itself, motivates me to NOT grind till I go into a coma.

I'm only excited about getting VR14 so that I can fully kick butt in PVP, but even PVP eventually becomes repetitive. (If I get bored of PVP, I go do some PVE, and visa versa, I love it!)

And BTW, the story doesn't end at level 50 OP. You're not even a third of the way through.

I agree and the first few times I did all the quests and everything I could do in the game, but after a few times it gets stale and I just want to get to end game asap.

I still love the story but I can see the wisdom in running all the locations that aren't slowed by cut scene dialog.

I've been doing some of that with my Khajiit Nightblade. Haven't done any of the actual quests yet, but have been running around Stonefalls collecting all the Skyshards, and grinding Vivecs Antlers. Now that I'm level I'm off to do the same in Deshann. It takes me a lot longer cause I can't invest as much time as I would like, but its still fun.
