Maybe I'm just too cynical, but I feel like the /lurk is just a way to quickly placate the masses without having to address controversial topics in a substantial way.

That is correct, because they are 2 completely different things.

I think topics with /lurk and topics where moderators posted something like "we renamed the topic", "we encourage opinions but be respectful" etc should not be marked with "Z", so we don't waste time looking for some new info which might be related to the game issues (e.g. balance, race change, skills changes etc).

i say if zos doesnt have anything meaningful to say in a post they should just stay out of the post.

Not entirely true is it. I know one of my suggestions is being implemented so to say "All our complaints" is just wrong.
When someone says "hey guys, this feature here seems to be broken or not working, can you take a look at it. Pretty sure X should be happening instead of Y" - this is more than likely going to be looked at and commented on.
When someone says "OMG, fix Trading System, put in Global Auction House immediately" then clearly this is something that is so deeply ingrained in to the game that it would be a massive overhaul to change it. This is NOT something that would happen quickly, if ever.
There's also a hell of a lot of "X game has this, why doesn't ESO have this, please implement it..." and to be honest, it would probably get on my t*ts thinking to myself "well, that's because this game is not X"....

First, learn the difference between a mod and a Dev.Justice31st wrote: »I feel the /lurk as more of a troll than having us being noticed, since for over 1 year almost all our complaints haven't been heard or fixed.
Furthermore that particular Dev who is the only one that does the /lurk is the Creative Director of the game.
Getting the attention of the Creative Director is not a small thing, nor is it a troll.
