Expect to eventually have your account deactivated.
I bought a digital key for my son from an online site, and it was deactivated a month later because allegedly the key was originally purchased using a stolen credit card.
Of course, when I asked for any kind of evidence so that I could report the fraud and get my money back, none was provided. And suddenly, a list of authorized resellers appeared where there had been none before.
The online site I used was pretty well established, and I had bought games from them before with no issue. Also the price was not so low as to raise a red flag. But in your case, it's pretty obvious that the game was stolen. Caveat emptor.

I'm just as shocked as you that it took this long to happen. I thought it would have happened at least a month ago! Better late than never
