What annoys you most about ESO/players?

In terms of the actual game, it's probably the lack of content which has driven me away the last few months. I don't miss ESO, the grind got quite stale, but I do miss how optimistic I was about the game's future. I will always come back and explore new zones as they pop up, but I'm no longer the wide eyed fan boy I was at launch.

Regarding players.. Probably the odd pledge goer who is extremely rude and has no idea what they're doing. I remember running darkshade caverns and the healer was a vampire wearing a mix of armour who kept standing near the first boss and dying. After explaining the fight and suggesting a restoration staff over his bow, he proceeded to stand near the boss, die, blame the DPS and vanish. Good times.

I'm all for creativity, but if you're build impacts on my pledge run and you're not willing to compromise.. you're a goose.

I am seriously annoyed by the fact a promising game I thought was going to last for a good while instead ended up falling apart under my feet.

There should be a sound or on screen notification before your food runs out. It always runs out at the worst possible moment.
There are other worlds than these.

Another thing that really annoys me is how the "hide" and the "cloth" levels do not match at higher game levels... For example, I'm VR11 with all crafting maxed out at 50 and all skill points added. I'm able to pick up Raw Void Bloom (VR9-VR14) in Greenshade but am only able to pick-up Superb Hide (VR7-VR8) there. I have to go to Craglorn specifically to farm Shadowhide (VR9-VR14) instead of being able to get it where I'm questing. It's SOFA KING annoying!

Forced-solo instances in the main story, much as it was my gripe in PC beta.

This is my main quibble.I hate grouping through a dungeon only to find myself alone for the end big boss.I mean,if I group with someone,it should be able to be all the way,cos they are stuck alone too.And if they didnt think they needed help they wouldnt have asked me to group with them.

Hahaha! This a thousand times this! I'm sure a lot of MMOs have made mistakes because of whineback(feedback) that stemmed from PvP.

Lack of any sort of realm pride due to megaserver, and campaign hopping.

I don't know what you're getting at with campaign hopping, but lack of realm pride is actually a GOOD thing. The forums of MMOs that have multiple servers get bogged down by "oh you're from Server A? gtfo noob" threads and no sensible discussions ever take place. Then you end up with a server merge and half the server hates the other half and it ends up being an unenjoyable game experience. The lack of this element is one of the few advantages ESO has over other MMOs, and I hope that doesn't change.

This is not what I'm talking about at all.

In DAOC I played on Albion, on the Percival Server. 99+% of the players were extremely helpful to each other in Albion, because we had a common enemy. People gave each other gear and helped with quests like you wouldn't believe. Then we went off to fight our enemies in PVP.

In ESO, people play multiple alliances on the the same campaign. Then if they don't like campaign, they just travel to another one. Nobody really cares about their server or their alliance like they did in DAOC.

How is that possible? On PC I can't take my AD toon to the same campaign I have my EP in.

If when ESO was coming they promoted it as "DAOC reborn with a Tamriel flavor" and in interviews were like, "our goal is to recreate our old game, we will focus on that primarily"...just some up front admittance of piggy backing the Elder Scrolls name, I don't think quite so many players would be here.

There is for sure players here just for that PVP, but I'd guess for everyone 1 PVP core player, there are 5 PVE core players just wanting to play in Tamriel. Playing the stories (including different alliances) is what they are here for. You can't make them care who is winning the PVP war, they were just excited to play in a game they loved(the ES line) and share it with others.
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

Players who think the economy in ESO is fine as it is or thinking a global auction house will fix it. Cause how I see it a global auction house wont just means players who aren't part of a merchant guild can charge stuff over priced.

The ability for anyone to hide instantly while in the open and in combat during pvp. Seeing a heavy armored DK 2 feet away disappear in an open field is insane.

Attacking nb's only for them to vanish then spending the next 5 mins playing tag with them.

Atleast you expect it from the 'ROGUE' archetype character. Indeed, allowing for anyone to "sneak" is just silly. It may be the ES universe but there is a reason most mmo's dont allow for a 7ft tall 5ft wide armored bruit to stealth. Most logic went out the window in order to try and keep it like previous ES games even if it meant there was stealth archer wizards and vampire mage rogue wizards knocking about. *** knows how people bring themselves to play such a mish mash of a character, haha.

It's an MMO but it also Elder Scrolls. I get annoyed by MMO purists carrying on about their trinity
Then again, my ideal MMO is EVE, and I see some of that in ESO PvP.

People who don't say thank you.

To be fair, a lot of times in PvP, there's no time to type "thank you".

I rather people jump up and start fighting/saving my butt straight away. That is way more helpful for both me and the faction, than waiting for redundant text in chat.

Reviving during a fight isn't some one sided favour either. You need to get allies up fast, otherwise you wipe. Same way you need to get the oil or fire/meatbag ballistas up fast, during keep fights. Guess that's why the lack of written gratitude, never bothered me.

But for sure, there are times when reviving has zero personal benefits. Like using a soul gem on random guy, dead somewhere alone on the road, far away from ongoing fights. Than I do expect a little "tank you".

Topic. Most annoying with ESO is bad performance in PvP(some days we also get it in PvE dungeons).

People who don't say thank you.

Funny, because one of my pet peeves is when people DO say thank you after I rez them.

I mean, just rezzed them, the least they could do is get back into the fight ASAP without wasting the time to thank me, sometimes even dying as a result of the time it take to type "ty"

Its interesting most people assumed I meant in pvp. I meant in general. If someone does something for you, you should thank them.

What annoys me most about pvp players- when you rez them in the middle of an ongoing defense and they don't accept locking you out of rezzing anyone else. That really annoys me :/

Global skill and class nerfs/changes because of PvP whines.

All that shows is Zos like a lot of Companies never figured out what EQ did to balance between pvp and pve way back in 1999. most games today still try and balance for both at the same time which normally nerfs classes or abilities.

spells and abilities perform unchained in pve however in order to somewhat balance the game for pvp some abilities would work different in a pvp situation.

spells and damage abilities would do max damage or effect in pve, but as soon as you attacked a player the ability damage was less like ice comet 1200 dd nuke , in pve it did 1200 damage, but when cast on a player it only did 800 damage, and you could not do more than 75 % of a persons total HP with 1 attack so you could n`t one shot people .

No respect for one another. Though thankfully I found some who were. And I hook it up for those who are respectful. Hell, gave my guild about 300k so they can get a guild trader. Hooked this one guy up with blue recipes, another with resin mats.

It's nice to be able to give them something and see how they appreciate it. It was funny, someone tried to give me money, but I declined. Save it buddy, you may see something you like in the stores.
