What annoys me the most about Elder Scrolls Online, and or its players, would have to be the mentality of some of the players I've encountered. To be specific, the arrogant/elitist players. Who find themselves so high and mighty; yet do things which show that they lack basic understanding of the core mechanics of the game.

For example, there was a Veteran Rank 14 sorcerer, who I came across with a guild member whilst looking for another DPS to run a veteran pledge for the day. This person nonstop spoke of: How knowledgable they were, how they were a PC-transfer, and had spent well over 2yrs. to obtain the "perfect build" for DPS. They also kept bragging about how "legit" their guild was, and how they are the first to do just about everything (lol). So my guild member and I give this gentleman a chance, and we head over to City of Ash. As soon as we arrive, this guy is telling us about the "optimal" way at running the dungeon, this and that. And how lightning fast he and his guild were able to complete the task(s) at hand. And while he's explaining it, I immediately begin seeing flaws in what they're saying. I'm noticing numerous exploits within his strategy, as well as area where things could go wrong. And what happens when put into practice? They go just as I planned. His strategy fails us big time. Keep in mind, I was a Veteran Rank 10 at the time (as well as DPS sorcerer). And ironically enough, I was not only surviving, but putting out more damage than him. This was odd, so I asked him why he ran/didn't run certain skills (such as him saying that Conjured Ward and its morphs were primarily for PVP'ers, and lacked a purpose for PVE). And just about every single answer that came out of his mouth, was because he was a "min-maxed", and that the skill(s) I spoke of were primarily for PVP. And served no use to him and or DPS-based sorcerers. So time goes on, and we get to I believe the 2nd or 3rd boss (the boss which has the Air Atronach spawn). And at this point, he's dying nonstop, and yet I'm always the last person to die. This guy then begins putting the blame on us, and starting to sound frustrated on the mic. He then asks if there was a vampire in the group, and I said that I was a vampire. His response? "I don't usually run City of Ash with vampires, as they usually get in the way." Keep in mind, he'd die before me just about every single time. And I'd always be the last person to die. Eventually, he comes up with an excuse to leave and leaves as fast as he could.

The point of the story I provided above, was that some of the players in this game need to stop making themselves seem more skillful than what they are. And stop believing that just because you have reached Veteran Rank 14, that you are the end-all and be-all of the game. Even in PVP, you'll hear people make comments about how there's a "group of VR14's coming), instead of just calling it a group. And it's annoying. Because, it only means that you've reached a temporary cap in level (if on console). And that it's possible now for you to have the last rank in gear. That's it. Sure your base stats will be higher than a lower level, but that alone will NOT cover-up your overall playing ability and skill.

I love this story and it happens in every game it seems PC or Console it never seems to matter. I joke with my husband if he and i play the same class filling a similar role that is is just trying to show me up and prove how superior he is but we are just joking with each other in the comfort of our home and usually he will beat me when it comes to the DPS role. I tend to lean on supporting roles now either heals or something with DPS that will benefit my party as well in some way. But I am with you I loathe the type of people you described as well.

Depends on my mood atm, maybe its the DK that has to come from nowhere/behind and chain pull the mob I'm fighting, or the db that waits for me to aggro the mobs and then swoop in for my node, Trollfalls chat I end up turning off, players who take the game too seriously, players who think their way should be enforced on all (even in this thread lol), people willing to pay for what should be included for free ruining it for us all and lowering standards, pets, ....

It's really a long list :| summed up by "other players" haha
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

This happened this week and it's still annoying me.

Me: Warren UA 20+ yellow LM side. (the AD's scroll was there)

Player in zone : Come help us ap farm at Alessia's bridge.

Less than ten minutes later after I was killed by an onslaught of AD players.

Player in zone: Why is Warren yellow?

Said player was more interested in his personal gain than he was in defending what we have. I'm sure the AD appreciates his greed.

In my first guild I was in I was pvping with a guild member who had come over from pc. We were sieging a keep. For the entire siege he was complaining that everyone was doing everything wrong. Using all the wrong siege etc etc.

It was absolutely mentally draining the constant moaning. And it was us poor few in pvp guild chat who could hear it all.

Considering everyone was doing everything wrong. We still took over the keep, maybe a little bit longer than doing it his way.

This forum is full of them too. Like you say, though, you get them in every game. Another place they like to hang out in is Youtube. No matter the game, no matter how well the author did in said game, there will always, always be people nip picking at the style or manner in which the other person is playing the game. These people also like to delude themselves that they play the perfect game, with the perfect tactics and perfect gear. The truth is usually something else entirely. They're also the first people to blame others when they get shown up for what they are - delusional gobshites.

what annoys me is that stuttering / lag stuff thats random. not the pvp lag which is slow and steady.

im talking about your in pve and roaming around and turn the mouse , and all of a sudden stuttering, skipping it makes my head hurt.

now i drink some when i play and i have to say it hurts when the screen does that lmao!

also group finder - lag- classes - classless people- that face crouch thingy people do in pvp? like really?

quests that make no sense at all, there was one that had a fire in the center of town , i needed to run to the back of a cave, talk to someone, grab a scroll , run back to center, summon atronach, i take three steps and theres a freaking well! a well with water people !

and even though i am on p.c text chat on console! ( just give it to them wth! 2015)

The ability for anyone to hide instantly while in the open and in combat during pvp. Seeing a heavy armored DK 2 feet away disappear in an open field is insane.

Attacking nb's only for them to vanish then spending the next 5 mins playing tag with them.

Atleast you expect it from the 'ROGUE' archetype character. Indeed, allowing for anyone to "sneak" is just silly. It may be the ES universe but there is a reason most mmo's dont allow for a 7ft tall 5ft wide armored bruit to stealth. Most logic went out the window in order to try and keep it like previous ES games even if it meant there was stealth archer wizards and vampire mage rogue wizards knocking about. *** knows how people bring themselves to play such a mish mash of a character, haha.

    1. People who insist on area chat to play music over their mic. Most of them don't have decent music and quite frankly they should stop that.
    2. People who insist on area chat to let everyone know in their vicinity to know about their home life, like screaming kids, arguments and talking about nothing in particular or letting folk know of future plans/ monologue on scamming someone.
    3. People in area chat who for some reason insult people because of the race they play in game and sometimes can lead to racist comments especially if they don't like someone's accent. They really need to shut up.
    4. PvP egotists. ' nuff said.
    5. People in area chat that swear for no reason. They use the f- bomb seemingly every third word to impress other players who giggle like naughty school kids. Grow up!

Lack of any sort of realm pride due to megaserver, and campaign hopping.

I don't know what you're getting at with campaign hopping, but lack of realm pride is actually a GOOD thing. The forums of MMOs that have multiple servers get bogged down by "oh you're from Server A? gtfo noob" threads and no sensible discussions ever take place. Then you end up with a server merge and half the server hates the other half and it ends up being an unenjoyable game experience. The lack of this element is one of the few advantages ESO has over other MMOs, and I hope that doesn't change.

This is not what I'm talking about at all.

In DAOC I played on Albion, on the Percival Server. 99+% of the players were extremely helpful to each other in Albion, because we had a common enemy. People gave each other gear and helped with quests like you wouldn't believe. Then we went off to fight our enemies in PVP.

In ESO, people play multiple alliances on the the same campaign. Then if they don't like campaign, they just travel to another one. Nobody really cares about their server or their alliance like they did in DAOC.

People who don't say thank you.

To be fair, a lot of times in PvP, there's no time to type "thank you".

I rather people jump up and start fighting/saving my butt straight away. That is way more helpful for both me and the faction, than waiting for redundant text in chat.

Reviving during a fight isn't some one sided favour either. You need to get allies up fast, otherwise you wipe. Same way you need to get the oil or fire/meatbag ballistas up fast, during keep fights. Guess that's why the lack of written gratitude, never bothered me.

But for sure, there are times when reviving has zero personal benefits. Like using a soul gem on random guy, dead somewhere alone on the road, far away from ongoing fights. Than I do expect a little "tank you".

Topic. Most annoying with ESO is bad performance in PvP(some days we also get it in PvE dungeons).

Funny, because one of my pet peeves is when people DO say thank you after I rez them.

I mean, just rezzed them, the least they could do is get back into the fight ASAP without wasting the time to thank me, sometimes even dying as a result of the time it take to type "ty"
