Poison Damage Now Scales of Weapon or Spell Power question

So in patch notes for 2.1, there was a note stating that poison damage now scales off of either weapon or spell power. Does this affect the initial poison damage from powers like Poison Arrow and Acid Spray? Or is it only the DoTs from poisons that are affected?

I've been wanting to make a Bard-type character in this game, and haven't been able to figure out exactly how to do it. Thought of doing a "Dark Bard" NB, and thought that if all of the poison damage scales with spell damage, I might be able to do this without sacrificing a ton of effectiveness.0 -

✭✭Basically the devs felt that abilities like snipe weren't doing enough damage and increased the poison damage across the board. It seems fair. I don't know anyone who gets one-shotted from snipe attacks.:trollin:1 -

✭✭Hmm well I would assuming magic since poison and magic damage is under the same passive in the mage skills in the champion system.

To be honest, previously spell pentration affected posion arrow/lethal arrow so it perfectly make sense if migthy also increased its damage too, so it becames some sort of hybrid attack like:
- either weapon or spell power
- Stamina pool
- Spell penetration
- Thaumaturgy / Migthy Cps

✭✭✭✭✭I tested this in PTS 2.1.2, and I'm not seeing any benefit to Poison Bow attacks (e.g. Venom Arow) for Magicka/Spell Power builds.

Mighty does nothing for lethal arrow, poison injection, or acid spray. I didn't do an extended test, just fired a couple shots before and after applying "Mighty" points and noted no change in damage.
Frankly this is expected since stacking Thaumaturge and Mighty would make poison OP.

One last question, does it scale with spell penetration or armor penetration CP?

Ryuho✭✭✭✭This change doesnt effect poison injection/acid spray and other bow poison related dmg.. I ve tested that with 3k spell dmg and 3k wpn dmg, i had much more dmg on tooltip with wpn dmg, also when I attacked mobs more dmg with wpn dmg, so tooltip says correct.. @ZOS_GinaBruno please enlight us, what u wanted to change?
