Voids stone & night wood is pretty easy to come by. It doesn't take long at all. Should it take longer, though? I actually like it being this way. I generally do not enjoy crafting in any game, but do it here because I like keeping up with my gear. I like knowing I can get it done fast and get back to forming groups again.

No, my provisioning and alchemy writs take about 45 seconds each, per day. The exception are days when I don't actually have the food or potions ready, that takes a little longer, maybe two minutes tops.

Excluding days when I'm out of resources (like, this morning) finishing off all the writs takes about 10 minutes for my entire account.

Generally. Mind you I'm only doing enchanter and provisioning, here and there I have to make a new stack but life is sweet when you can grab the writ and immediately turn in ;)
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

I voted for the option that's how long it takes if I'm doing the maximum number of writs I'll do in a day. Typically I do fewer, so it typically only takes me 15-30 minutes.

I've got 16 characters that I may do writs on, but I usually only do them on the 8 characters on my main account.

For those characters, depending on the day I'll either only do the provisioning writs (which is really fast - pick up the writ, hit the bank to grab the food/drink required, turn in the writ - I spend almost as much time on loading screens as actually doing the writ), or I'll do all of the consumables writs (the alchemy ones are just as quick and easy as the provisioning ones, but for the enchanting ones I actually make the glyphs to order, so they take longer).

If I feel like it, though, once I'm done those writs on my main account, I'll hop onto my second account and do consumables writs on those 8 characters too. Usually only the provisioning writs, but occasionally I'll do other consumables writs too. Very rarely.

Wood, smithing and cloth take no time. Alchemy, enchanting and food, I don't even touch yet as I haven't got the bank space yet to store all those things. Currently only have 120 bank space and that is taken up with the other 3 crafting skills.

This game desperately needs separate crafting storage space. Like allowing us to have 6 crafting urns like we get from writs. One for each crafting set. Hell, even just having the one for them all would be better than what we currently have.

I'm not fussed about it being unrealistic because if I can get my head past my toon firing electricity from his fingers, then I could cope with little containers containing 100's of materials.

Depends on the writ, Provisioning may be impossible or simple depends on if you HAVE the recipe , Alchemy is tough on some days especially if I run out of the "extra" ingredients and they refuse to spawn enchanting is the one place where you can buy what you may need. The equipment ones are so-so but I recently started power leveling those so now I have decent materials to use.

5-10 min per toon, but that does require farming mats for a few hours each week, and maybe 1 hour of provisioning per month.

I used to think this.. at least, until I completed Cadwells Gold and no longer go around doing many quests on my Blacksmith/Clothier/Woodworker. Now, I have shot my 5 stacks of ore and wood. It takes about an hour or more to get all the mats, IF I get lucky and no one else is competing with me for them in the same area of Crag/Reapers.. At least the new Cyrodiil will have nightwood/voidstone/void flowers.

Not counting swapping to my alts to do my Ench/Alch and Prov. Also, my main started doing Alch, so I have to move mats from my Ench/Alch alt to shared to make the pots on my VR.

8 characters. For the alchemy, provisioning and enchanting I have made enough of the stuff in advance to last each character a month or so.

The metal/wood/cloth I need to make on the day, as I can stack the items its impossible to make them prior.

You guys DO know that you don't have to make it on the character itself? Just one on your account

Interesting, because sometimes I am holding a rune/pot/clothing piece I accidentally made the day before on that char. The writ quest does not update until I actually MAKE the item. The only one I have that works the way you describe is my Prov alt.

I have my alchemist make a supply of all of the potential writ potions in advance, and that goes in my bank for my characters to grab when doing their writs. My provisioner does the same. Heck, even my characters on my second account do all of their provisioning writs using food and drink crafted by my provisioner on my main account.

I have everything I could possibly need in my inventory for alchemy, provisioning, and enchanting (minus restocking on the glyphs here and there) so as fast as I can click the buttons they're done.

I Have 6 characters who do writs. I can log through 5 of them and do all the writs in about 15 to 20 minutes each morning. It is when I go out and collect mats from the surveys that it takes more time, so I tend to save those up and do 5 to 10 of them at once.

It also helps to be at a level to do writs in a compact area. For example, Stormhold in Shadowfen I can do all 6 crafting writs by making a small lap. Velyn Harbor is compact too, more so than Rawkla is. Have not found a compact crafting area for DC. Note, by compact I mean the Writ Boards, the Bank, the Crafting Areas and the drop off locations are close to each other.

@Darlgon i have all crafts maxed on all alts, but i send my enchanting and alchemy to mules to save a few skill points. (means i can have everything else on the main)

I've not seen that issue before, but try this. Make up a batch of health, mana, stam and ravage health. Put them on a separate toon. If the same thing happens, sell the item to a merchant and buy it back

    @Asherons_Call

There are only 3 food types and 3 drinks.

This means you can have the single character have points spent in the multiple-per-craft skill. and use him to supply all your toons.

Make up a batch of each and put em on the characters (10 or 20 of each food on each character) It takes 5 mins to make em all.

I say this because the time to log into the inn in Craglorn pissed me off, far quicker to just have them made.

PS, you need to have skills to 50 and points spent in the skill to allow the character to make vr10 foods (obviously)
