Guards need a nerf

    Another Option is to Introduce a Prison. So if You don't have the Gold or are Unwilling to Pay the Gold.

    The Guards can Knock You Out and Put You in Prison for 5 - 15 Minuits. Depending on the Severity of Your Crimes / Bounty.

    They need to implement the snitch system so you can turn people in that you saw stealing. Maybe add some in game whistle that summons guards at your target.

    this would take away my favorite "Street Theater" experience... watching Guards kill the idiots.

    I'm walking through town the other day, & apparently the sight of someone walking is just too much to take for some people...
    A strange lady starts doing the block thing at me all the way across the market, every couple of steps she tries to bash me with her bow, walking backwards the whole time...

    so naturally she unknowingly bashes one of the merchants in the face, in the middle of the market while surrounded by Guards...
    twenty seconds later she's being resurrected by a kindly stranger & I'm laughing me ass off.

    sure its fun 'People Watching' when you get to town, its even more fun watching the Guards work!

    They could allow the Killing of Guards by Introducing a Bounty Hunter System.

    Up to 3 Players can Opt in to Pursue the Guilty Player.

    The Bounty Hunters get Buffed and have Appearance Polymorph.

    Bounty Hunters are Immune to All Attacks. Except Stuns.

    Bounty Hunters are Invisible to Innocent Players to Prevent Griefing.
    Replacing unkillable NPCs by unkillable players? You cant be serious.

    Maybe if they made guards killable then the punishment should be negative EXP. That would stop farming but that might at least allow the player to fight his way out of a building.

    Thats how it should be. Being a bounty hunter should not be a risk free activity.

    I was laughing at this newbie getting chased by a guard, bumped my key and accidentally healed him. Do not do this unless you want to eat dirt.

    No. There would be people running around killing Guards in groups, clearing out entire towns/cities of NPCs and able to steal w/e they wanted. As for the bounty, they could easily either pay it or simply play on an alt for a bit to let the bounty deteriorate. Or hell, just keep grouping up to kill Guards, b/c if there are no Guards, who's going to make you pay that skyrocketing bounty?

    Besides, why do you WANT them to be killable? So you can kill, assault, and steal without having to be bothered by consequences? If you wanna do stuff, play smart. Sneak, use Invis Pots. Take Passives in the Legerdemain line that'll make Pickpocketing and stuff easier. But don't expect an entire mechanic of the game to be drastically changed so it caters to you not wanting to put any effort or time or patience into said mechanic.

    How about instead of giving invincibility to unpredictable players just because they "promised" to go after some criminals, you invest that invincibility in something predictable, like say a group of NPCs who hang around the cluster of killable NPCs and act to protect them from the criminals?

    You can already steal everything. It would just make it more fun. Also NPCs respawn so there is no problem if people kill the decorative NPCs. After all it is still a game and not a law and order simulation.
