    Finished downloading ... server still offline

    You can't play ESO while patching even if server is online because the version numbers will be a mismatch. Play while downloading is only for offline play games.
    Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe.     If it's like the last one then no, it's not.

    It will say 16gb but that figure is the sum total of the size of all updates (except the 2nd one that nearly broke the internet with patch rage) but it should be much smaller.

    At least it was last time, fingers crossed.

    Remember!
    While at first it doesn't even seem to start, it's actually checking the previous stuff,
    and then it skips most of it, and downloads the rest, which is probably very small amount.
    This is how it is...

    It takes longer for the update to queue up than it does to download it. It's only about 200MB.

    The patch notes don't list anything specific other than a "commonly occurring" crash issue. I hope that would be a fix for the infamous CE-84878 blue screen crashes.

    I never had the problem myself, but hopefully it is the fix for it. I can imagine how frustrating that would be!

    Oh god! As I was typing this the download went from "preparing" to "finished" - He got his confidence back! :smiley:
