"X" increase of cost for skills for spamming.

    Make some skills cost "X"% more after each use within 4 seconds.
    Should be a dmg penalty for some skills if spammed repeatedly such as snipe, wb, frags, ambush etc...
    PS4 EU DC

    Current CP : 756+

    I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.


    RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

    Or they could stop the weaving to only punish those who do it not those who simply use skills in succession.

    Not a good idea at all and would absolutely put the nail in the coffin of this game.

    There are only 5 skills on a bar. Of course there's going to be spamming of a skill. ZOS made the game that way.

    I actually would have voted for none at all, including roll dodge and sorc bolt.

    5 skills. 5. 10 with the second bar, and for many of us, we have a couple we keep on both bars.

    You add your highest dps skill and your best heal. Throw in things like rapids, caltrops, a gap closer, a taunt, and your options get pretty limited.

    There just isn't enough variety of skills to penalize spamming. At all.

    So dots, buffs, and debuffs don't exist? Players aren't maximizing their damage by using the 2-3 most efficient damage skills, cause that is all they can fit on their bar after slotting the previously mentioned effects?

    Players often get lazy when they're over leveled and over geared for content for as long as they have been in ESO. How is a BS system that will drive players away going to combat laziness due to being over leveled and over geared?

    Only if I get sufficient skills on my bar such that I don't use all 2-4 'active' ones within your insane 4 second limit and have to wait around for them to cool down.

    Personally I don't think BE or RD should have a penalty, if they are too cheap then they should have a cost increase, otherwise people should just accept that skills designed to let people dodge or escape will be used for... <drumroll>... dodging and escaping.

    I hate people saying L2P but perhaps educating yourself in how to compete would help?

    A lot of games have a cooldown on abilites that they can use as a balancing mechanism. A really super powerful ability? long cooldown. basic average ability? short or no cooldown. By choosing not to add ability cooldowns to this game, ZoS has chosen a much more challenging way of balancing with this clunky increased cost mechanic to reduce spamming. Yes it can be effective but why only explore one way of rebalancing? Some abilities could probably have had a cooldown attached but at this point it would just look like another nerf.

    I'm not sure what surprises me most; the fact this idea was ever suggested, or that it has 5 votes.

    If it was a game where you an have 10 skills per bar and 3 bars, maybe. But in this situation, many builds have to include the same buffs on both bars to keep them up. In my case, 2 of them, which leaves me with 3 skills per bars, 1 is a execute, 1 is a dot, one is a use on proc, one is my main single target damage, one is my main AoE damage and one is a toggled buff. So, in the end, i will end up using one skill at repetition, it's how my build works. If i don't spam force pulse to some degree, I won't be able to use crystal frags..
