I dont think I should be penalized for wanting my character to look a certain way, much like others who dont want their helms to show.
Obviously this is my first week playing the game, so I dont really know the in's and out's yet. Is it possible to achieve this without such a huge penalty in the end game? Or do I have to wait for a costume to be effective.
Im kind of going to the "Xena" look, if anyone was wondering. (Everyone whose 25-40 should know who Xena is...)
If your character doesn't wear any greaves, then why should your character benefit from such? From a roleplaying point of view, I don't see why you should gain bonuses from an item you don't wear.

If you don't want to wear greaves, actually be like Xena and deal with the consequences. I have no idea why anyone thinks you should gain the armor without visually wearing it. That makes no sense whatsoever.
The hide helmet options really bothers me. How can you have the armor of something without it being there? I am unable, within forum rules, to express my thoughts..
Look at me, I'm Peter Pan-tsless!
lol in all seriousness, I'd kind of like it if there was a toggle to show or not show each armour piece. The only ones I'd be likely to use are helmet (which already has a toggle) and shoulders, and even then only on a couple of my characters, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be available for each piece.

Actually, I'd also like to be able to hide my horse/tiger armor.
It just looks goofy.

True dat!
So if you choose to hide your helm option you shouldn't get the stats either correct ?

You do understand that the whole "look" to Xena was designed to get advertising money from the people targeting the 30 year old virgins.
Its still pretty offensive
Xena is offensive to you ?
I didn't know the Amish posted on message boards.

I'd be completely fine with this. Makes sense.
Yes. It's not at all possible that they could have been basing costumes in a show set in a mythical version of ancient Greece on actual armour styles from ancient Greece.DigitalHitmann wrote: »So, no ones over the age of 30 or hasnt seen Xena before...? I shouldn't have to suffer a decreased armor rating just because I am vain & hate the way almost all the shoulders look...
or have to give up shoes to look like I'm wearing ordinary loose leg trousers...
TOGGLE!
& isn't running off-level domens naked already a thing?
So if you choose to hide your helm option you shouldn't get the stats either correct ?

I choose not to wear pants on my female character...it is worth the loss in armor.
The armor in this game looks so ugly and sh*tty...most of the time I choose not to even wear it....
It is like the ONLY game where you cant dress your female up a bit sexy...I hate it.
Where is all this sort of sh*t? This game rated C for children or something?

I know one of those is Tera, where are the others from?

I'm not alone!
Skyrim had spells for magical armor like Oakflesh. Maybe the people that want crotchless armor could use something like that in the game. Just an idea.
