Alliance armors

One thing that I really like this coming patch is the coming Alliance armors that show off your faction. I've been waiting for them ever since they were announced, I wanted to show my faction pride.

One thing is a problem though, most of the sets that have your Alliance motif aren't too good or there is something better you'd want. So my suggestion?

Make there be a NPC you can talk to in your factions sewers who can change armor sets to have the motif of your alliance for some Tel-var stones. It could be either only armor sets that came out in the new patch or any set in general (including crafted armor). I'd love to wear the amazing looking gear and show my faction pride while on the battle field.

    This !!

Make it just like with the imperial edition where you can convert gear to imperial style ( but now allow all gear, even dropped sets etc )

Yeah, we should be able to "reforge" our same armor type gear to look like it when we achieved something kinda hard to do in IC, or once we get the item in question. Or maybe add a motif: sure, it would only apply to crafted items, but it would be better than nothing.

It's not like in many other MMORPG where you have one set per class per tier and that the new set is almost always better than the last one despite set bonuses: in ESO, there are a lot of gear to mix and match from to make your "optimal" set and sadly, it doesn't always fit together when it comes to the overall look.

Another (more crown store friendly) option would be for them to add costumes for sale in the crownstore, representing the respective Alliances. One issue that could arise here however, wouldbe the fact that players might want to use the armor of a different facrtion on their character, more so since they paid for it. For example i very much prefer the EP style, especially of light and heavy armor over both the DC and the AD versions, the last of which look truly silly in my opinion. In my opinion this is very understandable by the way, its just way easier to make an awesome looking set inspired by a red dragon than by a yellow eagle or a blue lion.

So maybe they could sell an "Alliance armors" bundle, in which all 3*3 styles are included as a costume, but you would only ever be able to use the ones of the respective alliance of your character.

I think, they should add something like this in general. Where you can convert ugly dropped sets into your favorite style by paying alot of gold or so.

I always have to hide myself underneath ugly disguises to hide my gear, which is even more ugly than the disguise. :D
Fashion in ESO has been a problem for me since I've started playing it. Always that damn trade off: Do I want to look fabulous, but run around in weak gear. Or do I want to be efficient but look like a Nord bartender at Morndas morning ?

True. I wouldn't even care if it was a juge ressource sink (e.g. requires a lot of ressources and refining materials to "recraft" the item using the wanted style), but it's something that most recent MMORPGs have in a way or another.

Agreed. Seriously, I would pay alot to get this. Style is so important. I would give all my money to get the ability, to turn all my gear into the style I prefer from now on. Provided you've discovered the desired style. otherwise everyone would turn it into glass armor, because glass armor is the most beautiful style. Which is obvious, because it was made by Altmer, so why do I even have to mention how flawless it is ? ;)

I wouldn't mind as long as they finally fix nord helmets to show eyes instead of being blacked out ghost eyes.

This game SERIOUSLY needs a transmutation/wardrobe system. Unfortunly a few weeks ego ZOS said it was a cool idea, but threres no plans for it in the near future... so, at least one or one and a half years from now....

Ye that's one of my problems with the new Alliance Armors. They sets aren't that great, really wish you could just convert the armor into the alliance style.

Or better yet just give us a costume that we can buy for some ridiculous amount of tel var stones. Currently the Tel Var stone goal for me is quite simple: Keep buying Superb Imperial Reward coffers until I get a polymorph, cuss everything else you can spend your stones on is worthless.

I would fully support motifs. These sets look amazing and i'd easily pay 1 million AP for a motif for alliance armor for my faction.

    Can I haz please? :'(
