Can Game Admins reset a quest...Mages Guild?

Ebonhart, Deshan stage. Book has been translated are you ready for the first test given as a question. Only response option is "Goodbye"
I've asked on the players helping players and looked though older posts on Guild Quests. I'm rank 2; the NPC seems to prompt to continue but can't continue. The quest no longer appears for Misplaced things in options either. It's not the end of the world if I can't continue since the fighters guild is active (so far). just would like to if possible. Thanks.

    Have you tried going in your quest tab and abandoning the quest? This let's you start the quest over (don't worry, it doesn't reset the whole quest line).

    I tried that after you mentioned it but the quest is not there either. Thanks for the suggestion though.

    Since it's a Guild quest, it may because you need to be a higher level? Don't know what else could be wrong.
    But have you submitted a ticket yet? I would suggest contacting Support if you haven't already, since this may be a game-hindering bug for you. They don't really respond to requests like these on the forum, unless it's urgent.

    You did talk to Shalidor right? If you don't talk to him each time the quest won't work properly.

    There are often issues with Mages Guild quests not triggering properly. Try again in a few days (particularly after a server maintenance) and it may well be working again.

    What NovaMarx said, It could be level related. Main, Fighters and Mages guild quests trigger about every 5 levels.

    Main quests trigger every 5 levels, Guild quests trigger every Guild rank (Quest 1 at Rank 1, Quest 2 at Rank 2, and so on), and are not dependent on levels.

    So then... Quest is hung up, Shalidor wont open the portal (I can only answer goodbye) for quest 2. I hit Mage guild level three and the Female sorcerer in Mournhold lights up and asks are you ready, Shalidor opens the portal...I get to complete the quest. I did run it with another character at Mage Level two.
