Happened to me too. Was farming for a collectible and the guy told me to leave because he 'had to reach vet14 today'. lol.
I told him I only needed the wraiths so we settled, he got to kill the rest. But wtf, this is an mmo, you cannot just own a place...Yeah it's annoying when there are other people potentially stealing your kills, but that's part of it.

Yeah and their Holy Purpose is above everything and everyone else! They have this Task granted to them by The Eight to reach vet14 and no one shall stand in their way! rofl

There had this moron in Bangkorai claim that it wasn't a PvE zone....I think he forgot where he was.

I remember a day in mmo's when others would come along and join up, because the faster we killed even with the xp being distributed among the group the more xp we made in a short amount of time because we were killing more mobs faster.

Every time I read something like this I feel so very very lucky. If I'm farming somewhere, and see someone else doing it too, I usually invite them to group so we can farm together (that way we get to share the spoils). And I've had people invite me to group just to farm for a few minutes and then "Bye". Never have I experienced someone try to bully me away (and I hope I never will). I guess I'm just a magnet for positivity

I don't care much for farmers. If someone comes and tries to farm where i am, i make sure i tag every single mob with lightning flood he pulls and let him do the killing, then i turn around and pull my own lot of mobs and see the XP rolling it.

I have no sympathy nor care about farmers or why they need to do it, if they farm around me, all mobs will net me experience and they can either live with it or go somewhere else. Just makes my life easier tbh.

I noticed it's getting worse.

I only know 2 spots in PvE zones now where I can still gain XP at a decent rate with my VR 14 character.

A few days ago, I was hunting at one of those spots for about 15 minutes, then another person arrived and told me to "get lost" in a very rude way in German. That's all they said, just "get lost". The same again, a few minutes later. I didn't reply.

There are already so few accepable XP spots for max VR characters that I need to set my status to offline and hide my location when I hunt there (or over 1,000 active veteran players in my trading guilds will see where I'm hunting at and my spots would soon be crowded 24/7. I made that mistake once and told a friend about a good hunting spot, asking him not to tell too many others about it. A few days later, he had told his entire guild and there were always lower VR players now hunting on the spot, even though for their level, there were much better spots).

I have no idea where I will be able to gain Champion XP with a VR 16 character once the Imperial City DLC is released. I guess PvP zones (Cyrodiil delves and possibly the Imperial City).

Getting 8 characters to VR 16 will gain an account of an active player somewhere between 255 and 446 Champion Ranks*. How are we supposed to gain Champion XP after that if not by grinding? Why are there so few grinding spots/repeatable activities with decent XP gain for max VR characters? Is everyone supposed to level alts instead of progressing via the Champion System with their main character?

Grinders get in the way of questers even if they don't want to. ESO really needs designated grinding areas where you can just hunt monsters (and there's no one-time story quest linked to them).

(* To reach VR 16, a character needs to earn 15 x 850,000 XP [=12,750,000 XP]. One Champion Rank requires 400,000 XP so without any Enlightenment, 1 character would gain 31.875 Champion Ranks going from VR 1 to VR 16 [so 255 Champion Ranks for a total of 8 characters]. Assuming that the player has Enlightenment for 25% of the total XP earned, it would be 55.78125 Champion Ranks for 1 character instead [so a total of 446.25 Champion Ranks for 8 characters].)

Agreed.
Though I'm 3 away, that's mostly been because of PvP distractions.
Otherwise, I use grinding now to quickly level a skill line to max as a means of being versatile or having options should I decide to respec later and try something new. Those that use it for leveling, great (not my cup of tea), but definitely stop complaining when you can't keep up.
