This all sounds like playground politics.

"Somebody told me to get off of the swing!"

"You should totally beat them up and steal their lunch money!"

    Somebody call the recess monitor.

Well it's never going to stop no matter how many complaints people have about it. Not everyone that plays ESO plays RPG mode and wants to take a "character" slowly through every detail of Tamriel. Some just have "toons" they want to PVP/end-game PVE/oh god another alt, save me....with :)

ZOS could make quests the largest and most effective XP. (Which would require dailies in PVE as well) Simplest solution imo.

ZOS could embrace the fact that people are going to grind, and make instanced locations out of the way of questing where no one affects anyone else.

ZOS could not only embrace that people want from A to Z in the quickest manner, they could bank off of it and sell max level characters, with skillpoints ready/able (no champion points)...Oh, the glorious uproar that would ensue

Or just do nothing and let players continue to hate each other and fight ;)
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

Give players better ways to get xp (especially after V10) and the problem solves itself. Nerfing Craglorn grinds, specifically the instanced ones that gave good xp, directly led to what we have today. Players will gravitate toward the best xp/min. If we have good instanced xp, then we don't have a problem. If anything you can tell the xp farmers to go away and get their xp in a better area if there is one, which there isn't currently.

A few days ago, I was hunting at one of those spots for about 15 minutes, then another person arrived and told me to "get lost" in a very rude way in German. That's all they said, just "get lost". The same again, a few minutes later. I didn't reply.

Next time you should reply "Essen Sie meine Hose!" :p

Note to ZOS: This is what happens when you refuse to cap CP to a seasonal limit, refuse to offer a catchup mechanic, and reward no-skill zombie grinding with vertical progression completely unbalancing PVP.

The people that need an unfair advantage and have no life, work, school, responsibilities will obsessively run that wheel until PVP is a 1-shot fap-fest even after you double the stats.

But then, you knew that when you added your Pay-to-Win XP pots to the cash shop, which isn't Pay-to-Win (because you said so!)

It has become abundantly clear to me what this company's priorities are. Same as any other company, above all else. Sad thing is companies seem too often to lose sight of the consequences of the method on their way to short-term goals, even if it means long-term failure.

But I'm on a boat! Never mind if it's sinking. Winning!

I can understand why people can be upset when they're on a quest and need to kill certain enemies and other players just shaved the whole area.
But in a "normal" grind spot where everyone grinds their butts off anyways, no one can tell you to leave. You're a player like everyone else.

Wow, just wow. The "entitlement" that people seem to have these days never ceases to amaze me. WTF are people teaching their kids these days? My 14 yr old doesn't have this attitude at all.....

The XP grind will be eased when IC gets into the live server I believe. They are increasing the XP for a lot of areas to help out with this and combined with the lower levels should help to "mellow" people out.

As far as the "entitlement" attitude, these people need to realize that they aren't the only ones in the world. First come first serve has always been the motto and isn't about to change anytime soon....

I agree with you 100%. I have 3 kids and they are very respectful. I raise my kids with Christian values and to respect others.

"russle some jimmies" (whatever that means)..... the players that do this crap are a bane on the game. i am a grinder largely do to my "old school MMO" background, but that doesn't give me any right or authority to be a ***. if someone is in the area share and share a like. we both greatly benefit from it. if theres a quester in the area, help them.... it benefits both. in ESO you don't even have to group up. thats GOOD.... nothing sucked more than grinding easy stuff in a group that wanted to do things in different ways. not being forced to group means you can do your thing, they theirs, but at times you meet in the middle for the benefit of both. discourteous *** these days...... they just have no class any more....

I just tell people they should've been vr14 months ago, then continue to grind away...

    Agreed.
Though I'm 3 away, that's mostly been because of PvP distractions.
Otherwise, I use grinding now to quickly level a skill line to max as a means of being versatile or having options should I decide to respec later and try something new. Those that use it for leveling, great (not my cup of tea), but definitely stop complaining when you can't keep up.

Yep, I've maxed every skill line in game (plus morphs) except pvp

There actually is a better way for players to earn lots of XP after V10. It's called Cyrodiil delves.

Problem is, PVE players are not willing to go there even if they can get into a buff campaign and are unwilling to dip their toe into any sort of PvP.

Seriously, in two days, I gained 10CP while enlightened (I had them saved up from playing an alt and not being on every day). This was just from doing each of the delves and only a couple of the repeatable quests and a little bit of PvP. You gain XP there twice as much as anything in Craglorn (which I think is wrong).

Cyrodiil is an awesome place to explore and the PvP there can be a heck of a lot of fun when you are V14 and can't find a group for Craglorn or are not interested in Undaunted Pledges.

No that's not what games are about there about bringing people together to have fun not drive them apart to be the best cause there always is some one who is better than you.

Something similar happened to me lately. I was doing achievements one day and catching up on places I skipped. I go to the last dolmen for the DC so yeah it's like level 42. This guy sees me hit a worm cult or two and slowly walks away and in zone says : I don't need your help. I would have let him hit most everything and I'd stand back until he said that. I got my achievement and a general with that dolmen. Later as I was riding away he whispered nasty things to me.

. . . Getting 8 characters to VR 16 will gain an account of an active player somewhere between 255 and 446 Champion Ranks . . . Champion Ranks for 8 characters

I guess the rest of your post is interesting as well (couldn't be bothered though). However, there's one thing I'm really curious about; Why do you feel you HAVE to level 8 characters to max level?
    @andreasv

I don't feel the need to level 8 vet characters to max level, I felt the need to continue playing ESO after reaching VR 14 with my first character. The way to progress after that is the Champion System, and what I'm saying is that I can't do that very well with my VR 14 main (which is what I'd like to do!). It's much easier and faster if I level alts instead.

The numbers were there to illustrate that even with getting 8 characters to the new max level in the coming update, an account only has a bit more than 10% of all the Champion Ranks that can be gained. So there really should be activities at some point that allow max VR characters to gain Champion Ranks at a decent rate (about as fast as you gain them by levelling a character from VR 1 to VR 16).

The shortage of grinding spots is especially bad at max level and there are no (daily) PvE quests to do anymore for a VR 14 character apart from the Undaunted pledges. A VR 5 character can choose to hunt or quest in 10 different PvE zones without any XP penalty. A VR 14 character right now has exactly one zone where the XP penalty is only -30%, that's the VR 10 zone (and there's Craglorn, but all XP values in Craglorn have been nerfed into Oblivion). With the release of the IC update, the new max level will be VR 16 and Craglorn will be the only PvE zone where VR 16 characters can get any XP but it won't be nearly as good as the XP per hour lower VR characters can get. This forces everyone who wants to progress at VR 16 into grinding in a few delves in Cyrodiil and possibly the Imperial City if XP is good there. I think there should be a PvE option as well.
