If a nightblade fires venom arrow at a sorc it first has to reach half way to the sorc, but before that it has to reach 1/4 of the way to the sorc, and before that it has to reach 1/8 of the way to the sorc such there there is an infinite series of distances that the arrow must first travel before it reaches the sorc.
