Freezing/lockup every couple of minutes now

Since yesterday I've been receiving a completely random, entire game freeze. The game just locks up on one frame and if I click once more I'll immediately get "ESO.exe is not responding". There is no predicting it. It just happens. However, it seems to happen quicker when I load into at least 3 zones.

On my end, this happened 2 and 3 days ago out of nowhere. The blackscreen freezes seemed to have stopped during the last week, but now this happens for no reason. And it's the same here: when I click once more I'll get the crash reporter window.

This bug has been around since late Feb of this year. I worked with CS non stop and they can't fix it, for me anyway. I've been told they can't reproduce it yet there are areas I can go into and have it happen without fail. Seems to happen in the more high pop areas like Rawl, Riften, etc on the regular levels where there are a lot of players in that zone at one time.

Also quick movements tend to cause it like riding fast and then hit H to jump off the mount without stopping first, opening your journal in a pub dungeon with a lot of activity going on, jumping and swinging your sword and turn in mid air and sprinting then turn quickly.

I've never once gotten any crash reporter window. Ever. There is one?

The only crash report I get is from windows saying it is an apphang error. Just got it again walking in Skywatch.

I get this whenever applying Rapid Maneuver and moving around quickly on mount (sometimes even with that applied while running). Okay, not WHENEVER... but it happens a few times per day.

This happened on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.. and also happens on 2 different comps... I'm thinking they really need to see if it's an actual problem or they should release a 64-bit version which allows us to utilize more RAM since many people are on 64-bit O/S these days.

It's very irritating. I have sent links to all of the threads off the forums for several months and CS states that this is not a big problem hence no fix. They stated a very, very small percentage had actually sent tickets in or followed up with CS on the issue so until it becomes a big problem or more than one or two are willing to go down that road with CS, it won't get fixed. I stopped after several months because CS said there is nothing more we can try on my ticket.

I have crashed less since I increased my UI memory limit from 64 MB to 512 MB. Try to do the same.

For me, this issue started shortly after getting this game a month or so ago and it seems to happen mostly in towns (Daggerfall, Wayrest...), Riften a few times recently (one just now) since i'm questing in that zone. I couldn't see other patterns, it can happen doing different things or not doing anything at all other than standing still.

As for the issue, the game just freezes and i have to kill the application through task manager which only brings the "program not responding" window. Then i proceed to run TESO Launcher Repair.

Yes, there is one^^ I guess I must have seen it.. about.. *counts*.. a million of times since beta, half of that million in beta only

You might want to try delete the ESO\live folder under My Documents (it will be recreated, but save your Addons first), which seems to have helped a couple of people in this thread.
A more drastic solution is to do a full/complete uninstall, and clean reinstall, if your internet connection speed allows. A guildmate had chronic crashes for a long time, and this completely fixed the issue. It also completely cleared up the stutter that I was seeing in my own game.
