I feel that this game (in PvP especially) is full of CC, probably even worse than WoW.

Stun
Knockdown
Fear
Disorient
Stagger

6 sec(?) diminishing returns on each? lol

As a Magicka Templar in PvP, I'm getting absolutely dominated by CC to the point where I may as well go AFK and make cheese & tomato on toast. I can break out of 1 CC, yes, 1 CC, and before you speak of champion points, I only have 84 and I'm already working on eventually getting "Windrunning" (probably in a year or so.... ) so even if I put points into Tumbling, to reduce the stam cost of roll dodge and break free by whatever %, it wouldn't really make a difference since I wear 5 cloth 2 medium and and I'm vampire, so mist form and blazing shield is my only defense, apart from breath of life and reflect.

Know what I mean? or do you have a stam build who has no problem whatsoever with breaking out of CC, so you refuse to comment/agree? Who knows. What am I doing wrong?

I know I could always go for stam build instead, but this current build is mainly for healing and DPS in one, in PvP...

    *Since because I wear 5 light, 2 med, I get smacked for 17k Focused Aims, 8k-14k Wreckling Blows, etc. Forgot to add that part.

    Edit: 2 Heavy, 5 Light & still get smacked but Mist Form is beautiful so, oh well.

    The essential problem is that in ESO there is 'soft' CC that doesn't count as CC in the sense that it doesn't trigger CC immunity. This is a problem because it can be spammed to lock down targets. This was a terrible problem with Talons, which created endless problems that ZOS largely ignored for the better part of a year, until they nerfed Talons so much that it became of marginal use. They never addressed the real and underlying problem: 'soft' CC.

    EXACTLY. If I don't have Retreating Maneuver on my bar, I cannot move at all, even in Mist Form, when a Dragon Knight spams Talons on me or a Sorc spams some Frost spell on me. If I wanted to roll out of that snare, I'd get put into heavy CC like a stun, so yeah, annoying....

    They really should include soft CC's DR with heavy CC...

    Isn't a stun considered a hard CC? Lately I've been wondering if CC immunity is actually bugged. I play a stamina DPS character, so breaking free is not a big deal for me, but I'll get stunned, immediately break free and then can be immediately stunned again.

    EDIT: Conversely, I've also done this to other players. It doesn't always happen, but on occasion it is very noticeable.

    Yeah it must be broken because I've even used the ability Immovable (heavy armor ability), and got stunned a second after using it...

    If I adjusted it, I'd have to completely re-spec and re-gear into a stamina build, purely just to break out of the mass amounts of different CC, to even stand a chance....

    Have you tried Immoveable pots? They last longer and you can make them in different flavors (+health, etc.)
    Then you can replace Immoveable with Harness Magicka shield, Healing ward.

    Nope.. guess I have a lot to learn and work on then, as I have barely touched Alchemy yet :P Thanks for the tip though

    Not sure if your using tri food or not, i'm a magicka dk and with tri food i hit 14k stamina, which is easily enough to break out of a few times.

    Try raising for stam regen a bit as well.

    Best thing to do is cc them before they cc you, talons is pretty useless now days, short range sorc can bolt out of it etc...

    Some cc's are avoidable or blockable, wb, flame clench etc.. just need to learn when to block and such to preserve stamina.

    Whats your current stamina at the moment?
    PS4 EU DC

    Current CP : 756+

    I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

    RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

    Yeah I can't really afford to buy epic food at the moment but unbuffed I'm about 8.4k stam lol so yeah, I've been using stam & HP food

    This is true, and there are also a ton of CCs that bypass Mist Form, which is totally bogus. How do you "stun" a cloud of mist?

    This is still a very valid topic as Talon-spamming and wrecking blow knockback-spam still continues to plague the battlefield, and the mass amounts of CC in general.

    Indeed... it's so stupid having talons grip your body in place as a mist of cloud. :anguished:

    I also plan on collecting a range of examples to put on video, if that is what ZOS require for "evidence" to show that soft CC shouldn't be considered "soft."
