Have heard only bits and pieces about the arena.

Could anyone please write out their experiences, pros/cons/ reviews?

How were the battles?

How was handling the other alliances?

How were the rewards?

Any improvements/suggestions?

What arena ? There is no PvP arena what ever you are hearing are most likely guilds forming dueling nights.

There was a presentation of Arena battlegrounds at Quakecon 2014. You can still find it on ZoS YouTube channel.
It's funny that both people presenting it have left ZoS (Nick Klonke, lead gameplay designer and Paul Sage, creative director)
    Wololo.

I thinks he means the pve arena in imperial cities open pvp zone. I would also like to know how the rewards and battles were.

There is an "Arena District" in Imperial City. But I do not believe you can actually compete in the Arena. It is just scenery for the normal PvP you can get anywhere in Imperial City. Just like there is a "Temple District", but you cannot actually attend religious services.

I am assuming you are speaking of the areana in the arena district in the imperial city which is for PVE fights, although while fighting there were characters of other alliances coming in and trying to kill us as well which was a fun dynamic.

The boss fights were somewhat hard, and long (that's what she said), but not too hard, with no super tricky mechanics or anything.

I was disappointed with the loot, I got a few vendor trash junk items, barely any TV stones (non if I recall correctly, but I may have gotten a few), and 1 trophy vault item of which you need many for them to be worth it. But the experience itself was fun.

I completed it with a group of like.... 5 or 6 of us? and another ally came in to help out randomly at some point during the encounter but left after a while if memory serves me correctly.

All up, cool addition, it is awesome to fight big bad bosses while still keeping an eye out for other players, it is also fun coming in and trying to kill said other players and take the boss from where they left it if they were fighting it first.

I liked it, and my only complaint was the loot being kind of a let down, but hopefully when it goes live it will be a bit better.

You can indeed fight inside that arena. A couple of different mobs spawn (including some small bosses), and I think it's supposed to be done by small groups. I completed the fight a couple of times on the PTS, and it wasn't that hard. Only once did a player from another alliance dare to join the arena while my group was fighting the monsters inside, we killed him, and were done with it.

After killing all mobs inside, a chest will spawn in the middle. Mine always contained a bloody claw trophy.

Oh, wow! That is good to know. Not sure it sounds like it will have the long term appeal of normal Imperial City (or Dragonstar Arena for pure PvE), but I will have to check it out.

They should have made it pure PvP, but you have to be near the top of campaign leaderboards to compete, and include a viewing gallery. So the rest of us could watch the diehard, well known PvP players go toe to toe. :-)

It's actually not that different than fighting in the streets of IC. Completing the arena is also a part of the IC main quest line.
As far as I know people can enter the arena at any point while the fighting is already going on inside, I haven't tried leaving though.

It might get a lot more interesting if a lot of enemy players enter and join the fight, since the boss mobs in there don't just die in all the aoe like the mobs outside do.

    Sorry, yes.

To clarify that's what I was referring too.
