Potentially giving ESO another shot. Some questions.

Early in the launch, there was a TON of publicity about item exploiting and duping to the point where the economy was labeled as 'ruined', and Zenimax never did a rollback to undo this. Has the economy recovered and considered healthy?

When I played, I felt very isolated. I could see other players running around, but the way the UI was set up by the time I had located their name and started typing to them, perhaps to ask to group up, they were gone. Does the game feel more like a MMO experience, or does it still have a single player with multiplayer extras feel to it?

Where does the best equipment come from? Crafting, PvE or PvP?

If one of the above types is superior, how far behind are the other two?

Has the Unlimited release helped the population or harmed it?

Finally, do you enjoy the game enough to recommend it to other people?

Thanks for your help.

Q: Where does the best equipment come from? Crafting, PvE or PvP?
A: All are equal. There is some difference in sets, so it might turn out that the exact set you want for your build is crafted or from pve or from pvp, but in general none are behind

Q: If one of the above types is superior, how far behind are the other two?
    A: They are not behind

Q: Has the Unlimited release helped the population or harmed it?
A: I've started playing with unlimited release, so I don't know how the population was. As I heard a lot of people say they started playing after TU, I think it didt good. The game is alive and got a healthy population.

Q: Finally, do you enjoy the game enough to recommend it to other people?
    A: Yes

As for your intro. I think you have a wrong impression bout what an MMO should be. The way you invite people randomly to your party is what is wrong in my opinion. I always find it invasive if people do it and will get annoyed by it. If I meet you in the battlefield you can talk to me in /local chat or pm me. If our interests and goal are the same we can do them together, but there is no need to group up at all. when our ways part again they will. ESO gives room for this cause it doesn't matter if you group up or not. So maybe try not to focus on groups and explore other ways of being social.

also, most socializing is and will always be in guilds.

Through me you pass into the city of woe:
Through me you pass into eternal pain:
Through me among the people lost for aye.

There is a market for harvested materials if you want to make some gold.

When I played, I felt very isolated. I could see other players running around, but the way the UI was set up by the time I had located their name and started typing to them, perhaps to ask to group up, they were gone. Not much improvement there. Phasing seems to be slightly better.

Grinding PVE in a PVP zone.

If one of the above types is superior, how far behind are the other two?
All top tier materials (VR16) will come from the Imperial City. Regular stuff will only provide inferior items (up to VR14). You'll still be able to trade gold for VR16 materials though, if you're very rich.

Has the Unlimited release helped the population or harmed it?
The game seems pretty quiet but that may be related to summer.

Finally, do you enjoy the game enough to recommend it to other people?
I'd recommend Skyrim for a better Elder Scrolls experience. For MMO players, I guess it's worth a try.

    Thanks for your help.
    You're welcome

At the moment crafted gear is the equivalent of one level higher than PvE/PvP equipment. I.e. Epic crafted (purple) vr14 equipment is equivalent to legendary (gold) vr14 PvE/PvP drop equipment. However in a recent ESO Live it was stated this will be changed with the launch of the Imperial City DLC where all equipment of the same level will be equal in quality.

Has the Unlimited release helped the population or harmed it?
I believe the player population in the game is as good as can be hoped for for a game that is ~18 months old. It is certainly not quiet.

Finally, do you enjoy the game enough to recommend it to other people?
    Definitely.
If you can be anything, be kind.
