Ebony armor set
Hey everyone! I know that there are certain armor sets that are a very rare drop in vet dungeons, so I am curious does this armor set drop at the final boss only? Or at all the bosses? Thanks!

Ipsius✭✭✭✭Chance to drop from all bosses and mini bosses in all vet dungeons (any vet pledge). Not from vet city of ash though.1 -

Ipsius✭✭✭✭I've collected full sets of several of the unique sets. The best way I've found to do it is find a popular helm grind and a group to do it over and over, or do the daily pledge over and over (much easier to find groups ;-)
I can't be 100% sure but it really seems like the final boss has a higher chance to drop set pieces if he doesn't drop the boss helm, so you may as well do the full dungeon each time. There are some bosses I've never gotten set drops from so I expect it's only certain mini bosses that might drop in each dungeon.
Not bad exp and profitable too. Be prepared for a very low drop rate and random traits though!1 -

So I could just get a group and go to spindle clutch and kill mad mortine over and over again? Would that work?0 -
Ipsius✭✭✭✭Mad mortine is one of the ones I've never gotten a drop from. The gargoyle and the ghostly guy do drop, as well as the final boss. All others don't in that dungeon (in my experience anyway).1

Oh ok cool yeah that's probably because he is so easy to beat, he is literally an add with a bigger health bar lol, so have you got ebony armory set parts from the gargoyle?0 -
Ipsius✭✭✭✭I really need to keep track of what I've gotten from where, but my general feeling is that the sets aren't dungeon specific. I've gotten full Hircines Veneer, full Ebon Armory, restoration staff/ ring of thorn, arms of infernance, lots of others. Max level is unfortunately v12 but they're all very unique in effect and appearance.
From the gargoyle I distinctly remember Hircines Veneer pieces, but I probably have also gotten Ebon. If you're looking to collect the set as fast as possible... Don't get your hopes up and be patient, cause it sucks! You may get 3 sets of Ebon boots before you get anything else, plus it's a low drop rate...
That's why I just do the daily over and over. If I get pieces, awesome. If not, decent exp and good money.Edited by Ipsius on August 8, 2015 5:43PM1
