And people abusing the bugs until then get a free pass? Exploit early, exploit often still the ZOS moto?

Its the test server designed to find bug, not be competitive PvP.
Just be thrilled they didn't announce it was "working as intended" or not say anything. I think the Spell and Armor pen code must be written in hieroglyphics, because apparently that s**t is unfixable.

Awesome!
With the recent updates you've filled us in on 2.1 Is shaping up to be the best major content release since the launch of the game!
WIll the Overload toggle-exploit be fixed with the patch as well or is that hoping for too much? It doesn't have nearly as great of an impact but it's been around for ages.
[edit] My bad, just saw the post above.
Isn't there a maces bug too that needs fixing?

Not in the next PTS patch, but we are working on a fix and plan to have it out before this update is published.

I am continuing to test other possible exploits and immediately /bug reporting them the second I find them. I'm not sure if necropotence triggers the same way as the other, so there might be ways to get them to retain if there's a different way to trigger it, but I am unaware of it.
On the topic of these exploits, I'd like to urge people to report any players who actively use these exploits to their own gain (i.e, not ones who test it so they can report it/etc). Unfortunately Zenimax refuses any evidence you share if it uses addons that gather other player's Data such as FTC/S'rendarr/etc, so you can simply urge them to look at the players themselves- hoping they have the tools to look at these things internally.
It's extremely disappointing to have competitive play such as PvE Leaderboards and PvP combat totally ruined and stripped of all fun by people going out of their way to abuse these exploits to achieve things otherwise unobtainable. Here's to hoping that the days of exploiting are soon to be over, and we can finally see some real competition on fair grounds.

Those sets are all proc or action based set bonuses instead of a 100% "buff" set bonus.
Either way I doubt they're going to fix or modify how each of the sets work, instead they're likely going to put code in place to completely validate all buffs upon ressing or something of that order.

Well Necropotence is also based off of an action, so how is it any different than the rest of the sets I've tested? Not to say I'm disappointed none of these exploits work, because if these had worked I would have quit until 1.7 as that'd mean the game would be literally pointless to play if that was all exploitable. I'm just confused as to why these two sets in particular work compared to the rest. With that knowledge they can indefinitely solve the issue, but your suggested resolution would work in principal as well, but could easily cause large issues like simply losing all passives on death until you relog (which we've dealt with in the past plenty of times before)

Necropotence gives you a buff when the criteria is met from my understanding. It's not a "proc" type bonus.
I've know plenty of people using the Mundus exploit as well as the overload exploit, I have no verification of the Necropotence set but I've heard it mentioned from multiple people I know are exploiting mundus/overload. If they say they're fixing them and they've identified the problem I'm fine to leave it at that. They'll test on their end and we can test on our end.
