[Console] What's with all the kids?

Moonscythe✭✭✭✭✭12 is nothing, I heard this 7 year old talking to a khajiit player saying things like: "kitty!" "You're fat. I want to punch your belly in". It was mildly amusing and disturbing at the same time...even more so when I went AFK to use the bathroom to come back and his character was crouched at my orcs groin in an inappropriate WTF way.
That's why I play in off peak hours. I was stalked by a naked lion in Vulhel Guard the other night and had no option but to jump, summon my mount or run, though he followed me all over the area by the manor/bank. If I stopped to call up a window he was either running me through with his big sword or doing inappropriate things behind my back. I turn off chat and had no mic near anyway. I assume it was some juvenile male trying to make himself important on my statuesque altmer. Age means nothing.
My 8 year old son hasn't expressed an interest in making a character but I would let him if he wanted.
He would also be a more polite and mature person than 90% of the people I hear in area chat and a better player than most of the pugs I have grouped with.1 -
cerf✭I haven't necessarily had problems with kids yet, except they always leave their mics on. The people I have problems with are parents who keep their mics on while their kids are screaming in the background. At least mute your mic...PSN: sifuhoot0

Woman✭✭✭It's strange how different the communities are on console compared to PC. The community on PC is intelligent, competitive and somewhat mature but when I go on console I feel transported back to Halo 3.3 -

I'm on PS4 and tend to hear them quite a bit. Haven't tried Xbox so I am not sure how it compares.

Asuryan11✭✭✭The console community is pretty different from PC. I was not teabagged once until I Console transferred and went to PvP it is everywhere. That and you have to tell random groups to clear the mic 24/7 and they still wont listen half the time talking about the stupidest and most useless things while they all try to yell louder speaking over each other. I run with my guildmates and only recruit players who can listen as a result. Kids and adults.1

RyuLevone✭✭You know, it's funny I read this thread yesterday because just last night I was playing and there was these two younger kids in area chat in a town getting harassed by older people just because they sounded super young. I think one was trying to sell a motif or something and these people just kept jumping down his throat because they didn't like the price he was selling at. Like I said before, I could care less if kids play the game, but I don't see why parents aren't monitoring what they're doing with a mic. Like people stated before, adults can be just as bad, if not worse, than children.0 -

FelixTheCatt✭✭✭Tbh here , as a parent I'd be more concerned with children being exposed to the crap falling out of supposed adults mouths in voice chat than the other way around. If seeing someones head lopped off in a video game screws your kid up , your kid was already screwed up. We monitored what our kids watched/played until they were about 13. Then , if they wanted they could play pretty much whatever they wanted. Teach them beforehand and they wouldn't be idiots. I encountered a guy harassing a girl after she spoke saying her voice is sexy and other inappropriate stuff so I came up behind his character with my orc, stripped my clothes off then said in a gruff voice "mmm keep talking" and made more arousing noises every time he spoke...he shut up quick.
