Why in the hell can we not try to make trades on the forums? For console users there is not much we can do to find players to trade with. We have very limited communication compared to the PC users. We don't even have text chat. Why not make a trading forum for console users? One for ps4 and one for xbox one. We console users get the bare bones of the game. We dont even get combat text or any sort of numbers on monsters health. Help us out a little bit.

You can create events for in-game stuff.

Perhaps it makes sense to work with a few others to organize daily or weekly events that will allow you to meet tons of others who want to trade as well. So instead of a trading forum, use the forums to create a trading event.

I think once you get it going it will become THE THiNG to do

Since Zenimax has no intention of ever implementing an auction house, or even adding a trade section to the forums, I created a multi-platform ESO trading site several months ago. I'd appreciate a sign-up, but everyone is more than welcome to post as a guest. We are gaining new members and more traffic every day, mostly from console players. The links are in my signature below. If you can't see my signature, here is the link: ESO Trade

A trade event for console players would be sheer chaos. Even if you did manage to get about 100 players or so to show up at the event, how would you trade? Everyone would be trying to talk at once, with their dogs barking, kids crying, and crappy music in the background. Yeah, that sounds like fun.....

    and this is funny ?

Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

To the OP: By the way, you're going to get a ***-ton of people on here accusing you of being "entitled" and all sorts of other stuff. That's exactly what happened to me when I tried to point this out.

i'm going to look like a dip here and mention a horrid game, but in Runescape, way back when I played in pre-2007, the forums were the place to go to get your trades done. I remember you'd post something like:

Selling Cannonballs 5k - Message in game - WIll meet you OR will require you to travel to me.

There were a lot of posts, BUT it worked.

    I'm pro-forum trade section as I play on PS4.

This also helped regulate the economy a little bit as you could see what prices things were going.

Reasons we need Text Chat/Zone Chat on Consoles:

Trading - Keep in mind, if you want to trade an item for an item (i.e. not selling something) then the guild traders are not an option. If you're looking for something specific (and rare), it's almost impossible to find the item you want. Even if you're part of multiple trade guilds. You have to resort to being one of "those guys" on voice chat that goes from city to city going "OI! ANYONE GOT ANY OF THEM DWEMER PAGES!?"

Finding groupmates - The group finder tool is completely and utterly worthless on consoles; it took me an hour and a half to find one person. Being part of a guild with almost 500 members doesn't guarantee you that one of those people will want to do the dungeon with you. This time, you need to wait ungodly amounts of time outside of the dungeon (sometimes over an hour), spamming people that walk past with group invites.

Text Chat/Zone Chat would make both of these issues so much easier to deal with, and I'm sick and tired of being spammed with "stop acting entitled" when I bring this up.

I agree. I used to play SWG and the forum had a huge trade section with hundreds or thousands of posts on every server, in addition to an in-game global auction house.

But that's really not a fair comparison I guess. Not many games are even remotely in the same league as SWG. It was way ahead of it's time.

You can create events for in-game stuff.

Perhaps it makes sense to work with a few others to organize daily or weekly events that will allow you to meet tons of others who want to trade as well. So instead of a trading forum, use the forums to create a trading event.

I think once you get it going it will become THE THiNG to do

I have tried useing your site but it feels very unpopulated.
Well, yes. Since he's asking people to sign up, I would assume that he's looking to populate it.

@Dahood2 - I'm a little hesitant to join, although I'd love to but have a question: Don't you need ZoS permission to set something up like this? If so, do you have it?

I am requesting the permission from ZOS atm, once I got the permission I will go ahead and make one.

A trade event for console players would be sheer chaos. Even if you did manage to get about 100 players or so to show up at the event, how would you trade? Everyone would be trying to talk at once, with their dogs barking, kids crying, and crappy music in the background. Yeah, that sounds like fun.....

nono, I am requesting the permission for a trade site. Since the site is going to use arts and icons from ESO, I need the permission of usage from ZOS before I can do so. Dont want to run into any sort of legal issue with it. (Already got the site blue print done, so it shouldnt take me long to implement)

They're going to tell you no. They would never do anything like that to help console players. They would rather us sit at a blacksmith and try to communicate via voice chat

well~ has been almost 3 weeks and yet no update on the ticket. They said that they are still reviewing it.

So don't use their logos or symbols if they don't give you permission. There's nothing stopping you from doing it, as long as you don't violate their copyrights or intellectual property laws.

They can't stop people from simply talking, or even making references to the game or to any other game.

You can create events for in-game stuff.

Perhaps it makes sense to work with a few others to organize daily or weekly events that will allow you to meet tons of others who want to trade as well. So instead of a trading forum, use the forums to create a trading event.

I think once you get it going it will become THE THiNG to do

Sounds non hetero. Trade forum much better

    Your statement sounds immature.

I need to use alot of stuffs from their end inorder to make the site easy to use. If I cannot use them then I see little value in implementing it.
