Why were Xbox and Playstation given greater access to Nirncrux than PC??

Why the blatant first-class/second-class split, especially when the second-class are those players who paid and ensured there'd still be a game for the first-class to come to a year later?

You have text chat, can customize your controls, have the pts, get dlc/updates first and had the option to transfer to a fresh server in order to completely control the market for your benefit. God forbid console players get nirn more frequently, which is getting nerfed so fotm players will drop it making it less profitable. Please qq more.

And those were only advantages that ZOS controlled. Would you like me to get into the ones that they don't?

Knee Jerk, L2P, Obtuse, Casual, Entitled, All The Best, unnecessary mention of CoD

Battle leveling for pve content defeats the idea of progression. Remove CP

Will this really cause prices for items with the nirn trait to drop? This isn't of much value to me if I can't afford to buy the items to research for the trait.

yes - if the trait is becomming more generic and if there are more drops, prices will drop (significantly). Don't look at this from a demand point of view but from a suppliers point of view. At this stage, people are earning good G by farming nirncrux, crafting gear for others to research. Crafted nirn gear is going around 20K, nirnc about 17K/13K for both versions. If the price drops to say 8K/4K, people will abandon the farming (very low drop rate - other gold mats are easier to get), especially since no one will want the gear anymore (other than just being a completionist).

If they increase the drop area and lower the benefit or nirn, they should also significantly increase the drop rate and make it on par with other gold mats. Either that or keep it "special".

I found no mention of it in the patch notes, can you clarify @ZOS_GinaBruno ?

Whether PC "gets to use addons" is irrelevant as they are not part of the base game. It is not an excuse for one verion to be better/less than another.

The base game should be the same across ALL platforms, otherwise ZOS creates strife between the platforms, and it's not like any fuel needs added to that fire....

If you want addons, buy a pc. Or keep fighting for the basics to be added to the game itself. But no freaking addon gives a better nirn drop rate, and that should be the same across all versions.

To be fair, the launch of PC didn't involve having players already at max rank earning the next level of progression while everyone else was starting fresh at level 1. If we're talking fairness, here, console players have gotten the short end of the stick across the board in pretty much every possible way. Throwing them a single bone, especially since they can't bring that nirn over to PC, seems like the least ZOS can do. Especially with it becoming relatively useless in the DLC, IIRC.

"To be fair" that has nothing to do with the players. That bad decision was on ZOS. You shouldn't get a *different* game because of a different platform unless it is literally not feasible.

By the "its fair because you guys have addons" standard... I can say its "fair you don't have text chat because you have a higher nirn drop rate".....See how irrelevent a comparison that is and just plain dumb to say?

But you get a add on that shows you were all the mining nodes are at. I think that counts. Meanwhile.... We run around in circles looking for ore.

Hey Gina @ZOS_GinaBruno, what's up with this? The IC patch notes have no mention of this, so is it:

    A) Patch notes missed it, but the change was applied.
    B) Patch missed the change, will be adding it in a future update.
    C) We changed our minds and this is not the future of the game. i.e. this will be removed from the consoles versions.
    D) We REALLY changed our minds and we intend this differnce to permanently exist between PC and consoles versions.

Really, inquiring minds want to know! Thanks!

good question...cool that someone picked up on the difference as well.
I normally assume things happen on PC always prior to console

Update! I harvested 3 LOWER Craglorn clothing writs last night. I CAN confirm that they are dropping Nirncrux. I can ALSO confirm that the drops are from ALL nodes, not just the highest tiers.

This would imply that the IC update DID implement the Nirncrux changes to match consoles (as was promissed), there just isn't any mention in the patch notes of this change.

    YA!

Am I really reading all this...? The Mac/PC version gets: Add-ons, content drops first, faster support, a more stable economy, glitches fixed first, etc... You all even get a text chat. Yes. A text chat. While console doesn't even have that. We don't even have a text chat, and this is for a MMO game in the year of 2015... And you all are whining about the Nicrncrux changes which were implemented on console first, before PC...? And console doesn't even have that? Something as basic and important as a text chat console is lacking, and you all have the audacity to complain about damn Nirncrux nodes? You should be ashamed of yourselves. :|

To @istateres, thanks for the update and confirmation! I'm away from the game for a couple of weeks and could not test it so I'm very grateful to you for this.

To @Ch4mpTW and others... no one here was whining at least not in my understanding, we were asking for clarification. Sure the console crowd should have the same things we PC folk have (although content release and addons do not depend on ZOS alone but also on Sony and Microsoft), text chat should be available to all. But node drops should be the same across all platforms.

Agreed. The node drops should across all platforms. It's just while there seemingly more important issues at hand, I came across this thread and was like, "No way. Priorities all messed up." My bad. Lol.
