PS4 Guild Trader bid lost 500k in a semi active zone (fix this HORRIBLE system)

While other guilds at the same exact spot got them for 200k, our guild lost one when we bid 500k.... They really need to fix this BROKEN system

PS4 issues-

Allowing pc players to transfer money and items to ps4, this does not allow this to be a NEW game anymore and inflates the economy

The Rich GET RICHER - If you did not get 500 people in your guild when the game was first released on ps4 and got a guild trader ASAP, then you are playing catch up forever until you get one, and the prices just continue to rise because the guilds who already had the trader have profited LOTS from people selling and having money for raffles and taxes.

Too many guilds, not enough kiosks

competition would be an even playing field, buck up and realize how flawed this is. Competition would be if i bid 500k then the other guilds who bid 200k in the same area BUT a different trader should lose. BUCK UP.

No the transfers are whatever, they came in with advantages but I wouldn't call them game breaking...

Now what is unfair is the fact that those some transfers were able to pool all their resources, gold, etc. from their friends/guilds and then transfer while handing the items back to the respective people, effectively duping by ZOS on Xbox/ps4 while doing minimal dmg to PC, it should have been a one off one time transfer meaning whatever came to console ALL stayed on console, that is what screwed the console economy/gameplay

Right. Because the PC players who moved over with their high end game items and made a boatload of money while other guilds were just starting. Now those other guilds have to get money from some other source while the PC players continue to make money from the traders they now have.

    Fair indeed.

Yeah. Of all the ways they could have "compensated" the people that bought the PC version while waiting for the delayed console version, they chose to give them basically everything while the rest were starting from scratch in a fresh start of the game.

What was wrong with just giving them a special pet or mount instead?

Its completely different from buying the game and starting out new. The economy then grows with the game. What happened on consoles is that right at the release there was millions of gold in a very few hands. No one can compete with that unless they came over from PC. Its just not how that works. They earned the money and items on PC. And it should have stayed there. Now on console you have these people who started out way ahead of everyone running the market.

Money sink - working as intended despite it feeling like its broken
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

You know PC transfers were a one time deal. They're not continuously happening. I sincerely doubt people transferred millions over. Even if they did, it would've been eaten up the first couple weeks that the bids started reaching the half millions.

    Hi there.
While other people were forming guilds and trying to get the gold to buy these trader spots the PC players got them as soon as they reached the member limit. That means that they started selling items before many, many others. Which means they made more money. And it continued from there. They don't need to worry about the bids. They already have made more money then that.

Just out of curiosity... if you bid 500,000 and you lose the bid, does it take your 500,000 anyway? The logical answer is, of course, "no"... but I just want to be certain because the wording of the title sounds like that isn't the case. Which would be insanely broken. 0_o

OP makes no sense, you bid 500k gold, and didn't win the bid to others that bid 200k?
Also doesn't take that long to make 500k, especially if multiple members of a guild are contributing.
Stop blaming everything on transfers, bidding is about timing too.

Its not different. You bought the game and people were in front of you cus of transfer. Just like you are in front of those that buy the game today. Your statement would be true if you couldn't earn money easily, or never catch up. But you can. I know cus I went from 0 to millions within a month.

Bringing over millions was of no value unless other players had millions worth in trade/buy/sell ... unless you powerlevel your bag and bank space and buy mounts and then your money vanishes real quick

the big money is currently in Ambrosia recipe parts at the moment

with IC the market will change again totally

I would guess console bid prices are a direct reflection of current exploits. I'm guessing that 20 people could bring in ~600k in vendor trash in about 4 hours.

    Just saying.

Yeah. Of all the ways they could have "compensated" the people that bought the PC version while waiting for the delayed console version, they chose to give them basically everything while the rest were starting from scratch in a fresh start of the game.

The gold and items that we PC transfers brought over with us was stuff that we EARNED playing on the PC, thank you very much. Why should we be stripped of it just because you didn't want to play on the PC? Anytime you join a MMO, there are going to be people at the top with more gold and XP, and better gear than you. It's just something you have to deal with. If it's not this way at launch, then it soon will be a few weeks later.

Had none the best system out there. Players are the auction house and the economy is completely player driven. Great gold sink as well. Kiosk system is one of the best features I've seen in any MMO. Took some time getting good used to it but cleared about a million in gold in July selling all my junk.

It isn't your father's MMO economy for sure but what they've done is an economic MMO masterpiece, really well thought out and solved lots of problems in traditional MMOS.

And you should have had to start fresh like the other 99% just starting the game on console.

That 99% didn't spend a year playing on the PC and earning that stuff. Why should it be a "level playing field" when we had put a LOT more work into this game already (and a lot more money too, since we PC players had to pay subs most of that time).

Ask yourself this. Let's say ZOS announces tomorrow that, with the release of Orsinium, they will be resetting every player in the game back to level 1, with 0 gold and 0 CP--so that new players coming in will have a "level playing field" going forward. Would you be cool with that? Would it be okay with you if ZOS just erased months of your hard work so that new players wouldn't have to play catch up with you? I suspect that you would be none too happy with that, no?
