Hello everyone,

having vacation in italia and got no acces to eso/pts.
Are there any new tanking sets in the upcomming dlc? I read of something about black rose which restores stamina on blocking but with over two dozend sets, i guess there is more,

I have two tanks and I don't see any of the new sets as "impressive". I discussed it with another long time tanky guy and he agreed there wasn't really anything there to go nuts about. They actually buffed my Juggernaut set so I will just gladly keep using that one.

    Add:\
It's probably the overall 5K HP increase to PvP, not the actual set itself. Instead of a 9K return at 30% health I now get a 12K return in PvP.

They nerfed Shalidor's Curse set badly, which was the crafted equivalent of Juggernaut. I have a full set of Juggernaut stashed away I might consider bringing out of retirement.

I think there are several new sets worth trying for tanking: Tormentor, Leaching Plate, Black Rose (a must with new change to removing stamina regen while blocking), and Armor Master.

Black Rose is not a must. It is helpful, yes. But not a definite must.

If you're a tanking enthusiast, why not say it's very helpful and good, instead of mandatory? You risk scaring away and intimidating people who don't tank.

New sets for heavy armor enthusiasts are not too exciting, Leeching looks okay but I need to know if the damage effect sticks to its target.

True, depending on build and encounter Black Rose will be very useful for many people I would predict. Something about Armor Master set, is that, when combined with the medium armor dodge ability, it will basically roll together (and then some) the 2 most valuable parts of NB tanks: Mirage and Shadow Barrier passive, but also add 5% max hp. Could even be useful for Magicka tanks since it would promote constant use of Harness Magicka while buffing defense in various ways. Don't know yet if the buffs would stack on the heavy armor ability, or on top of NB Shadow Barrier ability, but that sounds like a very nice bonus for non-NB tanks.

Black Rose set is a bandaid fix to unjustified nerf to stamina regen.

Its a scrap given to players who were hurt but this pointless nerf so ZOS have excuse that "they did something to help them adapt".

Just so sick and tired of PvP completely screwing up a PvE stat/class/role.

Tanks should be a floating, immobile juggernaut - tough to take down but doing so little damage that other players can just dance around him while he stands there and block.

Apparently PVPers get "system error, exception unknown" when someone dares to stand alive after their first 1-shot-macro kill attempt. And their generic try...catch have only one rescue method called whine'n'cry(nerf_thing_that_kills_me) directed at forum
