CE Maps = NO Malachite Whatsoever

Purchased a set of CE maps with my crowns to test Malachite drop rates with maps; after going to each and every CE chest, the number of shards I got for my troubles was a big fat goose egg. Not even any set pieces either.

In pure numbers, that's twenty-two map chests, with no malachite shards. Is 0% what's meant by "treasure map chests have a high chance for malachite"? Either they do or they don't; if CE maps are not included under the "treasure maps" part of that statement, then please mention it in the live patch notes so people don't waste a bunch of time like I did.

Non CE maps however, have a very good chance of dropping these items.
Out of 8 treasure maps, 7 contained malachite.

That is a bit confusing. I would have though logically the CE Maps above all others would have the highest chance/amount of occurence, as they are the rarest of map type, and have thus-far had the greatest - comparable to level - returns.

CE maps are not the rares. Nothing near that. Everyone with full wallet can get himself a pack of CE maps (especially that from datamining it seems they will be offered separately from explorers pack).

The normal maps are the rarest, because they can be only found in game. Cant pull out som dolla and get yourself a pack of maps.

I just don't get the point of CE maps overall - they all had trash greens and blues of the material tier of their zone, and nothing else. I could understand how that might be useful for the very first one or two zones to give your starter character a little oomph, but I mean, if you're in Cadwell's silver or gold and you're still using non-set trash gear you find in chests? You're either purposefully gimping yourself or have no idea what you're doing.

TL;DR: CE maps are, for all intents and purposes, useless.

This is why I logged onto the live server bought over 200 treasure maps as soon as I read the patch notes ;)

Agreed. Friend & I both did the same thing. We went to 16 or 17 out of 22 CE map locations, and neither of us got anything beyond the basic green or blue equipment that you'd expect to get from a CE map.

If this is intentional, it should definitely be noted.
