You mean, like axes or mauls that have a metal head and wooden haft? Or staves that have a long wooden pole yet a metal and often crystal tip? Or swords that have leather wrapping on their hilts? Medium armor with metal parts - heck, the nord medium is half chainmail as I recall...Jared_lindsey86_ESO wrote: »Composite crafting, things that are made out of multiple material types. Blacksmithing and Jeweller are nothing alike.CaptainObvious wrote: »So blacksmithing is metalwork which should eventually bring jewelry into the fold. You are already embedding gems in weapons and armor for effect, why not a simple ring of metal?
Additionally, alchemists are able to craft poisons. The characters simply haven't figured out how to apply them to their weapons yet instead of drinking them.
Course if they handle the application like enchanting, then it would cause hilarious cases like accidentally coating your weapon with tri-potion and healing your target.
When I started ESO I thought we'd have jewelry and poison crafting within a year.
*sobs*
So we currently have
- Alchemy
- Blacksmithing
- Clothier
- Enchanting
- Woodworking
- Provisioning
Considering the equipment we already have and use in-game ZOS could add a couple more crafting lines...
- Jeweler (Crafting jewelry)
- Tailor (Crafting regular clothing)
Now for some pie-in-the-sky ideas for future content:
- Toxicology (Poisons & antidotes)
- Carpentry (Furniture for Player Homes)
- Saddlery (Mount Equipment - Saddles, Saddlebags, Armor, Boots, Etc)
- Locksmith (Locks & Treasure Chests)
- Apothecary (Illegal drugs, not just Skooma!)
- Iconography (Religious relics)
- Bindery (Books & Scrolls- Player Created) - I admit this one will never happen...
And of course... there is always
- Spellcrafting
So, do you have any crafting skills you would like to see added to the game at some point?
I like some ideas, but i would NOT like to waste another 9 months of research for 10th trait.
