I really hope Wrothgar comes soon, because the way it seems all ZOS cares about/churns out seems to be group content, and it is rather saddening being that I try to play solo 90% of the time.

It's an mmo, they're all about group content. I think a single player RPG would fit you better

MMOs aren't always 100% about group content. Look at SWTOR and WoW, there is a healthy balance there of group content and solo content, yet this game lacks that.

I am not saying stop making group content, but there isn't a good balance of solo:group content in this game, and so when people try to play in non-group settings their options are limited or punishing.

@SG_Celerrimus Wrothgar is going to be content you can do casually, and if the Theives Guild and Dark Brotherhood are anything like the Fighters and Mages guild are, that'll be more solo-friendly content. Overall, most of the content in this game is solo-friendly, even with the last few content updates being group-oriented.

The point of this game is to be social, group up, join a guild. If you treat this game like a single player RPG, then you'll end up bored when you finish all the single player content.

I disagree with floppy frank, and cant understand why he thinks he knows who should and should not play ESO.

There will certainly be some new content for solo gamers, because this game tries to cater for everyone. This release is all about PVP....which means we probably have three months or so to wait....but I have no doubt whatsoever some cool stuff WILL come.

The problem I have is again, I dont always want to play in a group, and sometimes its hard to find a group, being that others don't want to play together or that the group finder is kinda downright awful still. And again, other MMOs don't focus on just single player, they have a healthy balance that, again, this game lacks horribly.

Also, for the current group-oriented content being "solo-friendly", it really isn't for new/returning players. I took a long break from the game, missed a lot of updates/build changes/etc. and jumping back into it and being relevant isn't that easy.

I solo most of the game. It isn't because I dislike grouping. It is because I am so busy with the steep mountain of grindy stuff, I barely even have time to do quests, let alone drop everything and group up for dungeons. I agree that the group oriented stuff can be quite a challenge for solo play, which is why I don't bother at all with it.

Still waiting to feel like I have accomplished something.

90% of the game is solo. I mean you have 50 levels and then 14 VR levels of solo questing. What do people who like to group have? Craglorn with no decent rewards, pledges, and trials. Seems like you have much more content designed for you than groupers do.
I'm kind of a small deal!

Throw out the MMORPG should/always will have...

This particular game by design will have a mesh of content that may offer the ability to experience things solo but also with other players. Expect there to be a mix of content but don't base it off a game genre...MMORPG is just a category of a game played on a server with many other ppl in a role playing format. All else is up to the devs

MMO - Massively multiplayer online does not mean you have to group just means that there are a lot of players on playing at same time. Of course there are going to be parts of the game ( Dungeons - some world bosses - parts of PvP ) where you might need to group up but the questing in open world you should not be forced to group up to complete them.

At start of the new areas you usually have no or very little problem finding a group, but as most players get past the quest it gets harder to find a group and also finding a group that is at the same quest as you are. This leads to a lot of players not experiencing the full amount of this great game and moving on with a bitter taste to the end parts of the game.

I am not saying group content is bad, not at all, I am just saying this game feels lacking of content to do solo, when you aren't in a group, other than just run around the cities staring at things.

    Witcher 3 ?
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

Funny how, in truth, I just say the game feels like its lacking single player content and could use a few more single player elements to it and people try to shoo me to other games right away.

Please tell me how I can PUG with random strangers, through zone chat, for quests, etc.
Craglorn is impossible. I got a group one time (tried many times). 3 of the 4 of us were out of synch on the quest we were doing. We ended up doing some (group) public dungeons (which was fun), but not what we wanted to do. After a brief 30 minutes, 1 guy dropped group. We stood around in zone chat and guild chat, asking for a replacement but it never happened.

I'm in 2 big trade guilds and 2 big social/pve guilds. REGULAR Groups just don't happen. I would love to explore Craglorn but my 18k dps Templar just can't solo the 'fun' content. I can do anomalies but not the dungeons or the quests.
