So, what team buffs are there? And debuffs for the enemies.. Plus CC and there should be plenty for this to work, although it would be pretty weak on it's own..? Dependent on survivability of course.

i cant recall them all. but i know there are some that boost everyones regen or boost damage for x amount of time. and even some that does straight out damage to the mob in the synergy radius. there are debuffs that stun, fear, reduce damage, reduce healing to mob/s.


i suggest you go to eso-skills.com and us their skill calculator and just go through all the skills and see whats what and which class would be best for you to be a CC/support hero

Ok so the aim is to do the following:

1. Restore group resources
2. Buff Group Damage
3. Debuff Targets (healing/damage/armor)
4. Crowd Control
5. Revives

I assume this is possible on a build? Just trying to figure out the effects for them all now.
Group resources is endurance and Intellect, buff group damage is brutality, healing debuff is defile, damage debuff is maim and armor debuff is fracture. Crowd control, plenty to go around. Am I best off mixing hard and soft CC?
One handed and shield can perform all three debuffs. So that's weapon A sorted. Starting to think a control roll is possible now.

Sorc has Encase/Shattering Prison/Restraining Prison. I use it all the time when I'm healing on my sorc to CC mobs. Also rune prison as single target CC

Templar has shards, but mobs stop being stunned if attacked.

NB has Agony, but that's single target.

There's the War Horn ultimate from the Assault line.

DK has Igneous Weapons, which is a buff.

Combat Prayer (resto staff) adds a small damage buff to targets.

In terms of gear, Sanctuary increases healing received for allies within 10m, I think Ebon increases Health or Health Regen, Worm Cult reduces magicka cost and Saviour increases Stamina (going from memory, so I could be off).

And the Master Restoration Staff will restore Stamina as well as Health when you heal someone.

That's all I can think of from memory.

Ok, here's what I've got so far, for templar.
1.Group Endurance/Intellect/Fortitude, Restoring Aura (Unsure what morph to take)
2.Group Brutality, Rousing Roar
3.Defile, Solar Flare/Lethal Arrow/Reverberating Bash
4.Maim, Low Slash
5.Fracture, Power of the Light, Focused Aim
6.Crowd Control, no Idea which ones the templar has or which to use.
This is shaping up nicely. Still not enough skills for a full build though, looks like bow is the best option back bar wise, but there are plenty of templar abilities which can be used from a range to get these effects. What weapon would you have on the back bar? Resto staff looks like it may be helpful, though the magicka stamina mix may make it a struggle. Though I can be based on one and it wont hurt the buff/debuff percentages. However if I go stamina my healing would be down and if I go Magicka my weapon damage contribution will go down, although I really don't want to be too close to the enemy.

Thoughts?

The problem that you're going to find is that this role is much wanted on a team. You need a Healer and a Tank, and that only leaves two spots open on most teams. Taking a Controller means that you only have one DPS, and then things can take forever to kill.

I really wish we could have gotten bigger team sizes, that way more varied roles could be taken (especially if we had the powers for it). Playing City of Heroes had teams of up to 8 (and Leagues bigger than that). You also had most enemies that could be locked down by a controller given time, unlike some of the tougher mobs here where it's a binary yes/no option. It allowed for more varied team roles on a team, which was nice.

Not sure on ults, even though werewolf is probably going to be needed.
