Dragons in TESO

Do you think that we get to see dragons in Elder Scrolls Online? Because it known fact that some of the dragons wandered Tamriel between Dragon War era and TES:Skyrim era and they were hunted by Dragonguard (Blades). So maybe we get to see some with player’s choice, to help dragon or the dragon hunters. Since some of those dragons allied with mortals from time to time.

If there are dragons, there are not many of them. Most of them are in hiding. At most we can see one or maybe two as bosses in secluded areas.

This would be really cool. We don't need dragons everywhere, but a dungeon or an occasional dragon titan would be a great addition to the game. Something that's the same size as those that were in Skyrim or even a little larger like Bogdan or the Titan in the Cold Harbour dungeon would be a lot of fun to fight.

I am not suggesting to add. dragons like in Skyrim, where they were everywhere. My idea was to add some of them as quest givers or bosses. And btw. here are some of the dragons which was never killed by dragon slayers :)http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Atlas_of_Dragons

The ones that I've helped fight in Imperial City are pretty nasty....

My guess is when they find the game is getting too stale they'll probably try something like creating an area where real dragons can be found. I certainly don't think it's never going to happen. Just not right now.

In this time period, all the dragons are either long dead already, or hiding very, very well, and being busy letting all the world forget them. So the likelyhood of seeing any in ESO is pretty slim... which is as it ought to be, this is -elder scrolls- online, not -skyrim- online, not -dungeons&dragons- online, not -the hobbit- online... etc.

Not that its a big deal, since we have the cheap knockoff copies of them flying around - daedric titans (and yes, that -is- the lore... Molag Bal copied those from dragons because he is a jelous son of a void who just couldn't stand it that he didn't have any dragons of his own to order around ;) )

The Elder Scrolls series (pre-Skyrim) was always very anti-dragon. The devs kinda stuck to the feeling that you didn't need dragons to make a good fantasy game. And they were right -- several very successful titles were made with virtually no dragons in them (yes, Daggerfall had very small "Dragonlings" and the "Dragon" Language, but no major dragon fights). The common cliched addition of dragons to a game as a super-boss was successfully avoided.

Of course, that didn't stop the dragon-obssessed fantasy community from constantly posting threads like this on forums for previous TES titles, as there were always the "WHY NO DRAGONZZ??" threads cropping up frequently.

I'm pretty sure that's why they finally broke down and made Skyrim the game that it was. Honestly, they should have just called it, "The Elder Scrolls V: Here are your stupid Dragons!" You couldn't walk 10 feet in that game without being like "oh dear, yet another dragon I need to kill..." Hundreds of dragons just shoved down the player's throat constantly.

You'd think the community would have learned its lesson. Apparently not.

If it's within "Lore" for a few to be around then it's perfectly fine to have them as an achievement or dungeon boss of some sort. If it breaks "lore" then it's not a good idea. They could do a twist on it though. @ZOS also could turn these into mutated Daedric Dragons and would fall within the scope of ESO. These have been suggested before and would make the game funner I think. I personally would like to fight more gigantic daedra like the Bogdan Titan and others in the game. Possibly a new type of world boss for future zones somewhere in between a world boss and a dungeon boss that roams around an area or something like that.

For the last bloody time dragons will never be in ESO so please love of Kyne drop it already. Every single thread that opens up about dragons will have the same answer over and over and that answer is no. Bethesda and ZoS and even the lore master Lawrence Schick said all they way back the beta preview of 2013 quakecon at a open interview a guy asked if there will be dragons and they gave a hard NO.

While it may seem surprising to some, there are many of us who don't really care whether or not something is accurate as to the lore (which is fictional and subject to change, not some form of carved-in-stone religion) as long as it would be cool in the game. Dragons would be cool, "lore friendly" or not.

Disagree. I've already had my fill of Dragons from Skyrim. A Dragon for the sake of having a dragon is not interesting in the slightest.

I'd suggest those who are looking for dragons to partake in "Skyrim", where they are center stage. Not every TES game has to have dragons. Lets get some new stories going instead, please.

Even thou I am one of those who would like to see some dragons in TESO, I must agree, that it would be crucial not to disturb the game lore just because dragons are “cool”. To add something just for the sake of “coolnes” of the game is stupid, because this game is already awesome on its own

Really, this and the "OMG PLZZ ADD DWEMER TO GAEM" threads are dumb. There's a reason these things will never be added into TESO and it's because a)we don't need dragons to make a TES game cool (see: Morrowind), and b)bringing the Dwemer back completely kills the mystery behind their disappearance.

Having plenty of dragons in the game would be completely lore-unfriendly, and I guarantee it would cause a lot of TES fans to stop playing (myself included).

Having said that, we know for a fact that there are still a few dragons alive in this era, so having 1 or (at most) 2 show up wouldn't be a problem lore-wise. It would be really easy to screw up such an appearance, but if it was done right it could be pretty cool.

If any dragon shows up in ESO, it should really be this guy:

How did people not get their fill of dragons from Skyrim. They were everywhere. You couldn't go to winterhold without a dragon showing up almost every time you were there. Yes, I had fun killing the first 100 dragons I came across. It got a little old after that. I killed enough dragons to supply all of Tamriel with dragon armor. I have definitely had enough of dragons to last another 1000 years.

Some dragons were still around during this time but they were not seen or, if they were, those that did see them didn't live long enough to report it. ESO does not need dragons and everyone just needs to let it go. If you want dragons, go back to Skyrim.

Why tell someone to go back to Skyrim? I'm not saying there should be hundreds of dragons roaming the skies like in Skyrim. What I am saying is that it's a bit repressive to have to please all of you lore junkies any time someone makes a suggestion. News flash, IT'S FICTION! Moreover, it's fiction in a GAME series. Why does it matter so much? How come any time anyone makes a suggestion about this or that that isn't "lore friendly" they get jumped all over. WTF? Do you really take it that seriously? It's freaking cultish among some of you.

Yes lore says there are a few dragons still alive in the 2nd era one being Parthanaax but lore also say they are hiding for fear of being hunted. So yes there are dragons alive but no to seeing any cause they are hiding high in the sky or off content and don't even think about asking to see Parthanaax cause I highly doubt the grey beards will allow power hungry players to come into High Hrothgar to abuse the power of the voice and Parthanaax. Here's what will happen if we try entering into High Hrothgar.
