Ultima Online used to have "power ticks". You'd be busting ass trying to raise points, get nothing... nothing... nothing... then 3 or 4 all in a row. ESO reminds me of that sometime. I've refined 3 ore and got three gold temps in a row. Then I refined several stacks after that, some not even getting ingots at all. The RNG seems to flow in waves.Pangnirtung wrote: »RNG. After THOUSANDS of fish this is my experience.
This morning I got three or four perfect roe from four fishing holes.
I have filleted 600 fish at one sitting and gotten NONE.
There is an add for filleting fish and it tells you the total number of types of fish filleted, the # of roe from them and how many fish of that type.
After thousands and thousands of fish my average is 1% but obviously that is over a long time. You will average to that eventually.

Out of curiosity does your provisioning skill make a difference?
If only you could fillet those green/blue fishes for an increased chance of obtaining Perfect Roe.... At the moment catching one of those is a bad thing instead of a "lucky moment".
@Zos any chance to change those green/blue fishes to also be filleteable?.
Yeah.....I got 5 in first 100. It's called RNG. Try praying to RNJesus and maybe you'll get lucky. Or, who knows -- maybe they don't like you?

No it isn't a bad moment, I have 8 characters and can use those blue/green fish towards their fishing achievements. Perfect Roe is a welcome side effect for those of us who fish anyway, not the main event, so don't diss our fishing trophies!

Also, the gold bags, theres only crap in them, put something usefull inside, a gold temper would do.

For those of you unable to comprehend game logic, I'll try to use crayons and small words, RNG canIf only you could fillet those green/blue fishes for an increased chance of obtaining Perfect Roe.... At the moment catching one of those is a bad thing instead of a "lucky moment".

Incorrect you can no longer put the trophy fish in the bank, I tried (ps4), so if you want master angler on all your toons, your going to be spending loads of time fishing
