I am so shocked that no one is talking about the new suicide flame lash

•Flame Lash (Lava Whip morph): Instead of a direct heal, this ability will now reduce the amount health by 25% and apply a heal over 3 ticks. We also increased the damage versus off-balance by 25%.

If I read it correctly , this skill right now can let u kill yourself...
So in U7, when a dk face a off-balanced foe while the dk only has 24%, then dk using flame lash, then get killed by it. As this will reduce 25% health first.
I know they increase damage of this skill, but they can just separate its healing into 3 without add this terrible mechanism.

    I'm pretty sure they meant "reduce amount healed by 25%". It doesn't make any sense otherwise.

    No. It lowers the health of the target, not the caster. Similar to the morph of impulse

    If the target has 10,000 maximum health, flame lash will lower this to 7,500 max health.

    Is that true ? Reduces the targets health by 25% That's huge, if it's possible to combine this with impulse.... omg
    Even without, this is huge and it is not blockable with damage shields or blocks. (not 100% sure about blocks, but damage shields for sure)

    Yea that's how i understand it as well. Instead of a 100% direct heal, you get a 75% heal applied over three ticks.

    Considering what the combat design team has come up with since around 1.4 it wouldn't be a huge surprise if we would soon see a self headshot snipe morph.

    I have to say I can only read this as a bad translation that should have read either

    We added a function that reduces the amount of max health of an enemy and separated the healing into three HOT ticks.

    OR

    We have reduced the total heal given by 25% and separated it into 3 HOT Ticks.

    Currently its ambiguous and pretty hard to understand

    Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

    OMG， i go to PTS and see it myself.
    Yeah , heals are reduced to 75% and will be finished in 2 secs
    but, they havent told us that this skill will no longer stun players....
    Huge nerf...
