You think everyone in the game is exploiting 24/7? No. There are many players both in Cyrodiil and PvE leaderboards that are doing it knowingly, but not everyone. Not even close.

That would make PvP balancing pretty easy. I say, with this in mind, I'm even more in favor of the idea :)

Actions of consequences. A lot of people would learn that really quickly.

    Its a pipe dream fellas,

They would rather ban you for showing proof on the forums of someone hacking. That should tell you all there is to know about their stance on exploiting.

This is why exploits run rampant, and more and more people use them... because there is no consequence. It the whole "If you can't beat them, join them" mentality.

Doesn't matter what it is. Call it whatever you want, if it is in the game and you are using it- it's fine. The only thing that can be done is to remove those bugs.

Many people don't know many things in ESO. But no one wants to punish those that do.

Example: If one doesn't know how to cancel animation, another should not be punished for doing it.

Do you consider using a 3rd party program like a trainer as being "in the game"?

Exploiting bugs that are present in the game- fine by me.

Or as an alternative, and I mean this is a crazy idea here, but I think it could work.....ZOS could fix them asap instead of letting them ride until 75% of the player base is using them for months on end.

Note: I'm not doing the whole bow thing or whatever the exploit of the moment is, but when they are found they should be fixed within a week tops and anything earned out of normal range removed (ie: rollback said players) but I'll never be for banning players for using mechanics in game, albeit unintentional ones because ZOS didn't fix them.

(botters and gold sellers can be shown the door, permaban)

Exploiters need to be banned pronto. If ZOS doesn't do that, then they are basically allowing troublemakers to reign. Think it this way:

Would you not alert the police if a robbery is going on? If you answered yes, I would not alert the police, then what kind of person are you?
If you can't handle the heat...stay out of the kitchen!

Depends...are the bank owners leaving the vault open and just letting the robbers in?

If people are bullying, or, as in the case of this thread, exploiting, then people need to get out of a group mentality. Lots of people are more comfortable in a group than they are alone, and it's because of this group mentality that makes cheaters and bullies harder to defeat.

That's not a fair example and you know it, that involves the possibility of someone actually getting hurt.

My point went past you. These "exploits" don't get fixed until they are all over social media and youtube and everyone knows how to do it. No matter how many times MoD's delete posts people make of "I've turned in x amount of tickets for 3 weeks" etc, etc.

So yeah, if I walked into the bank and the bank President was propped at his desk just watching people go in and out the vault taking goodies, and just shrugging it off when people were "dude, you are getting robbed", I'm simply going to turn around and walk out.

It's a good idea in theory but it depends on how much it's enforced. You can't catch everyone. There are speed limits in cities but people still break the speed limit because your odds of actually getting caught and having to face the consequences are minimal. This suggestion would lead to a similar result unless enforcement hit the majority of the offenders. The really messed up part is that those that get caught would blame everyone but themselves for having to pay the price with a temp or perm ban.

Yeah, because there's no way someone could photoshop an image or mess with a video to say, "no, honest, this guy I have no issue with, and almost certainly isn't the same guy who snarfed that upper craglorn node I had my eye on, is an exploiter, and here's my totally unedited screenshot showing him talking in Cyrodiil zone about using cheats to enable god mode. Just ignore all the compression artifacts. Those are because I have garbage tier internet, nevermind that they're not present on any other images in that same folder. GET HIM MY MINIONS!"

Report them. Don't go onto the forums to bully random strangers. And that IS what naming and shaming is; an attempt to bully someone you don't like.

Really, how do I know that the person you're claiming is an exploiter, bot, baby eater? I haven't seen it. I should take your word for it?

Then perhaps they need to stop being like ostriches and sticking their heads in the sand hoping these exploits will disappear.

And your point did not go past me. I take everything I see quite literally, because with the Internet, you can't tell what is sarcastic and which is literal, so you have to take everything at face value.

And. how is this going to be policed? Unrealistic to say the least and impractical.
Exploiters exploit. Shut one door and they find another. How would you know if someone 'reported as an' exploiter' wasn't being accused or targeted by someone who disliked him/her, or who had a grudge, or just for the hell of it?

Ironically in England a lot of the war veteran generation did just that.
Especially in the east end of London.
They left the door open and strangers could make a cuppa if they wanted a chat.
That was when a thing called community spirit existed.

Most took it as a sign of friendship and warm hospitality to be cherished.
Some took it as an opportunity to be exploited for personal gain.

See the community agreed to a code of conduct they all respected.
Apparently the outsiders didn't agree to it.

As it's been said before the camo hunter isn't an exploit. It works how intended on undead deadra and werewolves. It is a stackable damage ability that uses all your stamina for the chance to get a quick kill but only if you attack vampire or werewolf players. It just as easily can get you killed because you have no stamina once you reveal yourself.

You are more likely to get banned from the forums for using harsh language than you are for exploiting. It's more about ease of enforcement and less about the actual severity of the offence. Sad but true.

why is this even a thread ... rules and regulations are not community controlled
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

ZoS does need to start doing something about the exploiters. Being either just fix it or start suspending/banning the users. But they do have to be know of willing using it instead of accidently punishing those who accidently use it.

I would say 1/10 of the people i see in pvp are exploiting this. It's at a point where banning people for it is the wrong approach.

They need to remove the skill till it's fixed or fix it.

Unfortunately, it cost's money for any sort of update to go through Sony. So it won't happen until IC DLC.

Zos need's to give Warframe GM's a call. They can hot-fix whenever they want without pushing it though Sony unless it's a big content update.
