It's not just the person that jumps. Last night I got hit by a bunch of people while trying to enter Ash eastern door. The death recap started with a meteor, not sure about leap but I think it's likely someone did leap on me, and ended with 64k fall damage. With IC being released next month, it's only a matter of time until the PVE'ers are given a crash course in how serious the neglect has been in addressing the lag for months (or maybe it's about a year now?). You pick up on tips like never walking on inclines without holding block lest you catch one of the 40 meteors a scrub spams on you during lag, otherwise you get fall damage like the OP. If you're a sorc you also realize not to streak during the lag (though, sorcs avoid so many deaths by streaking halfway across the map, maybe the lag-fall damage is karma :P).
My hope is that when the problem plagues everyone and not just the PVP'ers, ZOS will be forced to prioritize fixing it. There are LOS changes in the IC patch we'll be able to test when it hits PTS this week, but I'm not optimistic given the history with this problem; Brian Wheeler/ZOS have been noticeably cautious in saying that this will address the problem.0 -
