Then there is the next and far more questionable tier of competitive advantages that I get people having a strong distaste for. Finally there is the collective and unintentional abuse of server mechanics. When large groups collide and they care about defending or taking something lag happens.
If you wanted a balanced game you'd play COD right? Or Rocket Arena?
Uhm... no?
MMO means "massive(ly) multiplayer online". This is an MMORPG, wich I play to be part of a consistent (although changing) world and play with many people together. Large scale battles, a term used to advertise Cyrodiil PvP, is not even possible outside of the MMO genre unless you count strategy games in.
I don't play because I want to have advantages over anyone, no.
Group size is just another form of competitive advantage.

So to answer your question, in game you most likely can't beat them. Outside of the game though.... Well let's just say their Hershey kiss sized biceps belong to me.
Pretty sure nobody has 1k yet. Last I heard Suru has ~700, and somebody else had surpassed him but not by much.
Lol 700. EP has three with 900+ who I personally know of.
Sure, and I bet all three share the screen with you. What a naive crap.
What's it like not being in any competitive guilds?

1 with 900+ and 2 with well over 1k afaik.

Usualy I am heavily outnumbered because there is no challenge otherwise.
And that is not because of my gear, my champion points, exploits etc. just knowledge of game mechanics and skill.
That's the same in a MOBA or a an RTS or a shooter.

I thought it was pretty clear. MMOs have large variances in player strength that go beyond player skill, due to gear, stats, time played and so on. That is why none of them are competitive like e-sports, some RTS', shooters and arena games. I don't know who you are, but I'm guessing you don't wear green drop gear? I'm guessing you spent skill points? I'm guessing you spent champion points? If not tell me why? If so, I will tell you why, so your character is stronger and performs better against other players. If skill alone carries you why bother with anything beyond green gear and a few base skills? You shouldn't need it, right, if skills carry you? MMOs have uneven playing fields, and to tell yourself otherwise is nothing but self-deception.

What does that have to do with your assumption players play MMO(RPG)s because they "like to have competitive advantages due to playing longer/harder/smarter than others"?
It's just not true, there are many players who want balance and they don't play this game because they want to have an advantage over other players. What an absurd idea.
@AhPook_Is_Here How about giving some reasoning why you think that all an MMO should ever be about is endless progression to gain a numerical advantage ? I don't quite understand how you came to assume thats what everyone wants out of them.
Where is the fun in a game when there is no challenge ?

You are above average.
@AhPook_Is_Here
Some would say that the ability to choose the right build (gear, skills, etc. ) is a part of player skill in MMOs and that is a legit opinion.
However the Champion System is not about any of that. The Champion system is about getting stronger the more you play (grind) without any actual limits.
Stuff like great gear and awesome abilities are good for a game because they give players something to work for.
Seeing a player with a nice setup will give players a feeling of "Woah, that looks awesome! I want that too !".
Additionally these are capped i.e. playing PvP for some time will unlock you new skills but beyond rank 24 there is nothing in terms of power. Likewise there is only gear that is THAT strong and nothing better, again giving something to work towards to become equally powerful to the guy you just saw killing 5 people.
With the Champion system you have hidden progression. Noone will see your rank and think "I want to grind just the same to become equally strong !". Still you have something to work towards everyday and thats a great aspect of the game, becomming just that tiny bit more powerful feels somewhat rewarding. But only up to the point where you realize "Hey i get more powerfull, but others do so significantly faster/ have done so for months before me and there is no way for me to get on their level ever again.".
This harms the games atmosphere a great deal in my opinion and turns newer and slower players away.
In the end what I love most about the CS is also what i hate the most.
It is near endless progression for my charackter and thats great. But i will always have that feel that I am constantly falling behind.
That would not be an issue though if the CS wouldnt have the influence on combat it has right now. It makes skill meaningless to a certain degree that a way worse player, as long as he knows some basics, can take on anyone with simply haveing a couple of hundreds CP advantage. Additionally good players with a high CP count become monsters tearing through people left and right.
Thus I dont want a removal of the CS. I want a significant nerf to the whole system ( especially the attribute gain).

LOL, I can smell the BS from America.
Funniest is all these guys who are all like "I only have 500 CP, but I dont grind ever, pathetic CP grinders in CWC lol trying to make up for lack of skill blah blah".
Than you find out the dude recently speed leveled 6+ new characters to VR14.
But no, he's definitely not grinding CP. He just loves Cadwells silver/gold and the main story so much

Good thing there is no champion point talent which significantly reduces damage taken from physical damage.
Maybe try to figure out why you dealt so little damage instead of blaming a mystical unattainable number and complaining on the forums.
