Has the drop rate on Psijic fragments been changed?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but as the Crown store version is a scroll, I don't believe any passives that increase duration work on it.

Unless they release a playable race of termite people...
I must be particularly dense today... It took me several minutes of reading and re-reading your post to figure it out, and then I felt like an idiot when I realized how simple it was.
    *facepalm*
It's because termite people would use the scroll by eating it, thus making the food passive work!

My only real snag for me are the duplicate pieces. I calculated that with 34 roe and 71% of a completed recipe, all things equal, I'd hypothetically have 48 roe by the time I had 100% of the recipe. So approximately two or three more weeks of writs.

And sure, I could trade, but I already have 43% of a second recipe. And I'm stubborn.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that's been having bad luck just lately on this.

Can't wait to go through this ten times for Glass Armor just to get fragments and combine them for ONE PAGE of the glass motif. What's that? Like 200 fragments total we will need to get for the whole motif?

I finally got another one (1) the other day. This is after about 3 weeks of 4 characters doing them daily.

The first week I was able to get 5 fragments on my own.

If this is a string of bad luck then my whole guild must have it too.

Just a quick question for you PC players from a PS4 player trying to figure things out....when you guys have multiple characters turning in max level provisioning writs, are the character levels of all of those characters at vet level 1 or higher? And are you turning them in at Craglorn or somewhere else? I have a couple of low level characters on the PS4 version that are max provisioners but all I can ever turn in are prov level 4 writs. I know ambrosia isn't out yet on consoles but I'm trying to get prepared. Any help appreciated.

Mine are all vr1 or higher. The writ quest is decided by your prov. level and your character level. As far as I know and understand the xp fragments can drop off any writ though.

6 of mine are VR1+, and the other 2 are not. The highest rank writ you can turn in before you go to Coldharbour is rank IV. As someone helpfully informed me in another thread, you can turn in a rank V writ in Coldharbour without having completed the quest that first sends you to Coldharbour - what you have to do is find someone (a guild member, a friend, whatever) in your alliance who is in Coldharbour who you can travel to, and then complete the first quest in the Hollow City that is just you talking to the groundskeeper. Then you'll be able to complete rank V provisioning writs. You still won't be able to complete rank VI writs until you hit VR1 though, because those are turned in in Craglorn, and you can't travel to Craglorn until you're at least VR1.

My six max level provisioners are also veteran level. I had about 10% drop rate of frags.

Just to confirm for those asking, we have not intentionally changed the droprate of Psijic Fragments since they went live.....But we may have accidentally during an incremental patch

    There, fixed it for you.

I've been banging out these damn writs every day since the fragments went Live and I only have 1. Hate RNG!

7 max level provisioners doing writs, I had my recipe within about 10 days, and I now have 8 spare fragments (which I use as prizes in guild raffles, so no, I will not give them to you!)
Having just 1 provisioner, it will take you ages. Get some more trained up.
You clearly don't understand the inner workings of RNG. Just because it worked for you doesn't really mean anything.

I have 8 level 50 provisioners all doing writs since the day the Ambrosia was released. I have gotten one (1) fragment so far.

Nice reading between the lines there :open_mouth:

Whereas I have 49 roe and no fragments...

    The wonder of RNG :(
