Has the drop rate on Psijic fragments been changed?

I have 4 characters all doing the Provisioning Writs daily since the XP recipe has been in the game. When it first entered I was able to get 4 fragments quite quickly. Now it has been weeks of doing the daily and not 1 fragment. I have guild members telling me the same thing... so... has ZOS lowered the drop rate?

I can understand myself having a string of bad luck for a while, but when I have many guildmates telling me the same thing it makes me wonder.

I have a max'd out character and have two pieces. I've yet to miss a day doing a provisioning writ. It's just dumb luck.

I really just don't like the system, but oh well.

I've been having some pretty sour luck, since patch v2.0.13. Hope a variable or 2 did not get deleted by mistake.

Could someone in charge verify that a drop rate is still present for Psijic Ambrosia Fragments and Perfect Roe?

I did a complaint just yesterday. I have 3 level 50 provisioners doing the writ each day. I had one single fragment.

Today, I just got another one. Go figure. RNG, we love you, we curse you.

yeh it's just RNG. I had none until the last week and a half, now I have 6/7 pieces all of a sudden and no duplicates.
5 characters doing the writs daily.

I take it personally when people start their tales of woe with " I was able to get 4 fragments quite quickly" - I've yet to see one of these fabled fragments, and it's not for want of trying

Just to confirm for those asking, we have not changed the droprate of Psijic Fragments since they went live.

Welcome to the RNG hate club.... I've missed maybe 4 days of writs since this potion came out and have only received 1 fragment for it..... 1 Fragment TOTAL....

OK, I got 2 fragments early on, then a few days later another one then nothing until last weekend, when I got a fragment a day over 4 days (3 Max level, 3 mid level provisioners doing writs, one does them sporadically. Since last weekend (well, Tuesday AM) I have not seen a fragment.

However I have the recipe completed, so I don't need anymore. Only one character needs to know how to make this stuff.

7 max level provisioners doing writs, I had my recipe within about 10 days, and I now have 8 spare fragments (which I use as prizes in guild raffles, so no, I will not give them to you!)

Having just 1 provisioner, it will take you ages. Get some more trained up.

Interesting...I must have very very lucky the first week or two when I raked in like 8 fragments. Lately it's just been dry.

I still haven't gotten 1 fragment yet either... It's to the point where I just don't care anymore, at this rate It'll be several years before I get a complete recipe. So yeah, I don't care anymore.

It is very frustrating when you were once getting them at a decent pace and now it has dried up for so long, not only for me but for many others I have talked to.

Don't worry about it. I have made 12 Ambrosia's for myself and have yet to use one of them. I almost did yesterday when I was going to farm some Atronachs, but the real world interfered.

I stopped keeping track a little bit after I got the complete recipe, but I've been doing 8 provisioning writs per day (6 provisioners doing max level writs, and 2 provisioners doing the max level writs you can do before you hit Coldharbour), and I've probably only missed 3-5 days total. I'd guess I'm at about 12-15 fragments found so far. Now that I've got the entire recipe I'm funneling any new fragments I find to my GM for use as prizes in guild events.

This is what I was hoping to do also for my guild. I already was able to get the recipe, but I want my other members to get it eventually and none of us are seeing a fragment in weeks

My luck has increased actually. Overall I would say I get 1 frag in about 20 writs on average.. maybe 1 in 30 at most.

I got 1 frag in my first 6 VI writs... then a dry spell of a couple weeks.. then one week where I got 3 just recently. Sold that first one for 200k+, (now its equivalent to 3 frags!) so could I say I have 6 writs because of my savvy?

I have found 4 though, doing crag writs every day on 4 vet chars, except for the first week.. Dang vacations! lol

Feeling the pain... that's for sure. I was fortunate to get all my fragments, but it was from a few guild mates that helped trade the very few they had so the guild could have one crafter making them. Now it has dried up completely for all of us and even in Craglorn there is like only 1 person usually wanting to sell or trade them anymore

Actually, the kind you craft is sort of better, because the Crown store XP scroll lasts for 2 hours, while when you craft using 1 set of ingredients you get 4 Psijic Ambrosia, each of which lasts 30 minutes. 4 at 30 minutes each is better than 1 at 2 hours, because you're less likely to waste some of the time on doing necessary, but non-XP earning activities when you break it up into smaller segments. Also, with the right passives each Psijic Ambrosia lasts 50 minutes. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but as the Crown store version is a scroll, I don't believe any passives that increase duration work on it.
