Hey, I was just wondering when there will be a character recustomization scroll that would be available in the crown store. I'd pay 700-1200 crowns for one.
For the past month I've been checking forums and searching the web everyday for information on this. It really sucks logging in everyday and playing that character who you wish you could recustomize. It's a very sad thing.
Agreed!! Hopefully this is something that the dev's are working on!
They pretty much confirmed race change will be coming soon™, and race change kind of implies appearance recustomization, so hopefully they'll include it as a separate crown store item too.

Anyone else??
I believe ZOS mentioned something in a ESO Live episode that since they are changing racial passives again in the upcoming patch and ultimately they have changed quite a bit since PC launch that they are looking into a way for people to change races. That would make me thing at that time you go through some form of character creation again.
That makes sense, as Naphariel said earlier. I just would like to have a way to recustomize your character, without changing your race, I feel like a race change would be expensive. Besides how would you implement that without forcing an alliance change? And I think the hair thing is a good idea! Like a barber or something!
Or would you only allow races within your alliance without forcing someone to purchase the "any race any alliance" from the crown store before you were able to change??
I may be joining the discussion a few days late, but my husband and I were just discussing this. He plays on Xbox, I play on PC. Character recustomization should become available for a reasonable amount of crowns, and I think the OP had the right idea about the price being 700-1200 for the service... if it makes it into the game, which seems reasonably likely to happen at some point.
I like my customization choices, but my husband regrets a few of his. One of his characters sounds like Pete from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse when it gets hurt, because he forgot to select his character voice when he created it. We would pay to correct that.

Personally I do hope they will make anny character recustomization they add not for a fixed cost, but for a "pay crowns per change" culmulative cost.
It shouldn't be too difficult - re-enter chargen screen, add a small crown cost per slider/selector moved from "current" or other change (whatever that might be, thinking of stuff some people want like gender or race change, though that naturally would be a much larger chunk of crowns, cost-wise) to a running total, have one "revert to current" button and one "make it so and pay up" button... that way if someone recustomizes, and forgets a detail, they won't hate the game for having to pay full price again for that detail, but can enter recustomization again and again, until their character is -just- the way they imagine...
Extra unlockable options would also be a great way to add more varietee to the game. Be it through achievements (I'd really love to see some justice achievements unlock "tamriel-istic prison tats" body markings ), or from the crown store (how many people have asked for sai sahan style beards by now?)...
I'd also love to see purchasable structural options (say, a "titanborn" enhancement that allows nords to be taller then even the sliders set to max allows right now... stuff like that, allowing some races to exceed some of their usual sliders. A super-short short "oh, I am half bosmer" altmer for example... or overly musculed "orc smash!" hulking orc bodybuilders? whatever people would pay crowns for...)
I know I would make use of any recustomization function, either way... many of my characters have small details that looked all right in chargen, but I later found suboptimal for my imagining of the characters in live game... a hip shape here, a body marking there, a voice here, a skin color there... even a character name or two, to make them more lore-conforming for Orcs and bretons, for example... and at veteran ranks and many months of research, rerolling isn't really an option...
And i just wanna change my character's name
Was made with name generator at game starts, and now its a bit confusing.
Not mention about playing with same character for year+.
