Stamina templar self heals?

Stam templars: How do you guys handle self heals? If I understand correctly: weapon damage is being based off of stamina, and heals are being based off of magicka, so you generally want to stack one or the other, as opposed to both, correct? This would adversely affect both the number of heals and strength of heals from the Templar class healing tree.
Do stamina templars generally use vigor/rally, or do you put something into magicka to use the class-line based heals? Or something else entirely?
I'm trying to figure out a templar bow build (I want an archer character but would prefer not to be a cookie cutter NB meta...) and I came across the topic of self-healing, and confused myself. =D Any help would be great!

Thymos✭✭✭✭✭As a bow build, distance is your friend. How often are you having to throw the self-heals?
