i've been in the arg, ah i mean disscussion threads (evil grin) about whether or not the city DLC is for me.

i dont PvP as im totaly useless at it (unless someone needs a target to carpet bomb an area from the balista, in which case, IM YER GAL XD) and the only things i would actualy visit the city would be to see it. i've seen it in the 2 or 3 mins i watched of the stream befor i went to bed, and its all busted ass ect so meh, my tourist trips cut short lol. if i can get everything else i need via orsinium, then i dont even care about TeaBag stones anymore ^^.
murder, fold, spindle and mutilate everyone to your dark hearts content, let the blood run free since the people i was concerned for, need never set foot in the city.

its all good for once (i think)

Last I heard, they were working on it still as a little further out due to other intervening things like the champion system, buy to play, console launch, and the imperial city. Spellcrafting is still coming at some point. Murkmire was a preview as was wrothgar... essentially everything got pushed back just like the imperial city. So it isn't out of date or irrelevant overall, especially spellcrafting which will eventually land and is truly drool-worthy  .

My understanding for those who are PvP averse (like me), is that if you do not get the new IC DLC, you can still:
    1. level up to vr15 and vr16 - by doing regular activities that give you XP
    2. unlock the new crafting passives, if your crafting skill is high enough (and you have skill points), so you can craft vr15 and 16 gear at normal crafting stations or those in the regular zones outside IC.
    3. get mats for crafting vr15 and vr16 gear by deconstructing mob drops and undaunted chest items from group dungeons scaled to at least vr15. Expect a lot of farming of Silver pledges as well as Gold pledge runs.
    4. AS WE CURRENTLY ALREADY DO WITH SPECIAL PVP ITEMS, you will also be able to buy SOME things from other players via guild traders etc.. Twelve of the new IC drop sets will be bind on pickup, but SIX new "Tel Var purchaseable" sets and items from the 3 new craftable sets can be traded if desirable, as can the mats etc. Some of the rare and valuable Cyrodiil PvP items will drop at higher levels in the Rewards for the Worthy, so it may be possible to buy higher level ShadowWalker, Ravager, Cyrodiil and similar set items from PvP players (presumably at an outrageous premium), if you have enough gold. (Don't quote me on this, this is just the way I interpret the first posting in this itemization thread, and even if I am right things may change based on PTS feedback).

So, there is a LOT you can benefit from even if you opt not to buy the new DLC, or are not currently subscribed.

    You forget to mention:
*Cross Faction play is coming (Play with other alliance player)
    *Xivkyn Motif & Glass Motif
    *3 new craftable style
    *2 New undaunted Monster Mask
    * Primsmatic Enchatment (Buff Health, Mana and Stamina regen)

Did they say Health, Magicka and Stamina regeneration? I thought it would just be the usual stat increase in general, just to all three instead of just one. Hopefully the boost isn't cut literally to a third for each of the stat buffs, otherwise you can already get almost the same result by enchanting 3 pieces with one, then 2 with the other two of the three primary stats and get almost the same result...

did anyone mention if the materials you can get from deconstructing drops in the IC dungeons will be available in the orsinium areas, and if orsinium would also add another couple of VR levels?

main reasons i am asking is because
    1) imperial city does not match my playstyle so i would like to miss it out, but i am a crafter so i would like to know if i DO miss out ImpCity, am i missing out on anything or can i get it via orsinium?
    2) is orsinium going to require we have allready made it thru the ImpCity (and lvl'd to VR16) to enter, or as someone else said in another thread, will orsinium auto level me to the needed level for the content? is it for VR16+ or for lvl 50 (and can i use it to not have to go thru cadwells silver and gold?)

    to clarify...
i understand that, if i miss out on Imperial city i will be missing out on content. the stuff i (personaly) would like to see but would miss is the crafting side. i know about there being deconstructable drops in the dungeons. others tell me that those drops (of VR15+16 gear) will begin to drop in the updated dungeons outside of the city. there are crafting benches. im assuming they are like the ones you get out in the wilds, that have specific sets you have to visit to craft (like deaths wind and ashen grip ect) and i would miss out on those sets (but i expect they are going to have good sets for pvp mainly, so i can miss those out likely) if i dont get ImpCity (or buy them from someone who has the dlc)
what i want to know is.... are those the only things i would be missing out on (other than the pvp and dungeons and storyline ect) if i just give the city a miss? if those are the only things (the sets craftable from the city) then i can safely miss out on it and just grab Orsinium?

No details like that on Orsinium yet, but..
It's my understanding that yes, gear drops from other dungeons scaled to VR15-16 will give you a chance at the new crafting materials which will give you the ability to craft the current sets at VR15-16.

It looks like you're pretty accurate in your assessment :)

Yep, just confirming that is the case! You will be able to deconstruct gear from the older dungeons in order to get VR15-16 crafting mats.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Will the Craglorn content, VDSA and Trials, scale up to the new VR15/16 level of our characters and drop VR15/16 items and rewards? It would be a pity if this content doesn't get updated to scale up to the group leader's level because when I reach VR15/16, content dropping VR12 gear won't seem as appealing. I really like VDSA, and would like to get VR16 gear from this too after update 7. Please let me know that this content will get the same treatment and attention as the dungeons.

$400 or so is more than enough to keep well ahead of consoles... and well, not having to pay $30-60 per game constantly leaves you not only coming out ahead monetarily by a long shot if you play many games, but you also have a high end PC for work. A console doesn't do much but game ;), and doesn't keep up with the graphics by a long shot. Total cost of ownership is much lower, and quality is much better :D. Consoles have a nice ease of use advantage for the non-technically-inclined, but that's about it. You can play on your couch by using an HDMI cable with a PC and wireless keyboard/mouse or controller just like a console ;).

Those upgrades your talking about more has to do with wanting better graphics then the console versions of the game, you can still do well with graphic cards that three to four years old oddly enough((sometimes older.)), that has been one good thing about game devs mainly focusing on consoles lately, made things a little less graphic intense and video cards for pc are always light years ahead of the console ones. It generally slows down the need to upgrade

Since the cans don't go bad, no it's not a waste of money. If your concern is the cost of keeping those extra 11 cans cold in your fridge, you should know that a full fridge uses less energy to stay cold than an empty fridge does. If your concern is that those extra 11 cans are taking up room and your fridge is always overfull, then just keep 10 of those cans in a cupboard or something, and only keep 1 in the fridge. That way, when the rare day comes that you want a can, it's nice and cold, but you're only taking up a tiny bit of space in your fridge.

Either way, assuming you'll eventually go through the 12 cans, it's always better to buy in bulk rather than a single can.
