My hopes for Orsinium

This is a destroyed land that we have to rebuild. My hopes are that we can make some dynamic influences in this world that will determine what kind of crafting materials will be available as well as what kind of crafting sets are there. On top of that I would like to determine the layout of a town; such as having woodworking, blacksmithing, clothing, alchemy, enchanting, dye, cooking area, and bank all located in the same spot, next to a waistline.

On a more serious note, a lot of what you hope for would be impossible in an MMO. You just can't put stuff so individually related like designing a town in a world that is persistent for hundreds of other players, too.

You do know that Orsinium is a solo instance dlc right? This is the only reason why I would suggest such things.

Yes, I was wondering where I missed that bit of info. Why would anyone even buy it?
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

    Umm no.
Soloable, maybe but not Solo Instanced.

Well, if it was a solo instance it would definitely still appeal to some of the players, and I'm sure people would buy it. Not nearly as many as would buy it if it was a more standard questing zone, though, and that's the crux of it. For a DLC to be successful it needs to appeal to a large portion of the player base. By the very nature of things, a PVE DLC won't appeal to PVP-only players (and the reverse is true: a PVP DLC won't appeal to PVE-only players), so to make up for that you have to make sure it appeals to a majority of PVE players. A solo instance simply wouldn't do that, so it would be very foolish of ZOS to make Orsinium a solo instance. The portion of the player base who would like that enough to pay for it is too small.

I know a game that did that; LOTRO. There was a quest to rebuild a torn town. I don´t think it is impossible. Nothing is impossible but it is rather do Zenimax bother to make it that way.
    A is for Atronach.
    B is for Bungler's Bane.
    C is for Comberry.

Yes, but it was the same town and layout for everyone.
OP is talking about designing his own town layout and such.

Orsinium was planned to be a solo zone. As in scaled for a solo player like the other zones, not like craglorn. It wasn't supposed to be solo instanced though.

That said it can have this type of dynamic content to an extent. That is the whole point of the mega server. Just like one person sees a destroyed town over ran with enemies, the other sees a normal town with citizens.

I don't see this happening but it might be possible.
