Okay so I play mostly solo PVE and I use mostly full magicka builds. I use full magicka builds as I like to have my bars full of dk or nb abilities rather than boring weapon skills and of course for the skill slot bonuses which means I need to make sure I keep bash interrupts and dodge rolls to a minimum. Blocking is one way to lessen the blow but it is better to counter the enemy all together.
Inhale or rather Deep Breath is a heal, interrupt and aoe damager all in one and with my play style I adore it. But during testing I've found it very hard to work out exactly what it's interrupting limits are and the limits of countering skill with skill really are as a whole and that's after already getting one character to v14 with Cadwells gold.
Now I use deep breath on an enemy Mage during their channel.. It interrupts. I use it on an archer channel... It interrupts, but as for uppercut and shield bash; no interrupt. Am I getting the timing wrong or is this a glitch. Perhaps people in the community with a better understanding of the game mechanics can outline the rules of counter spelling or test it for themselves and tell me whether they face the same obsticle or whether I'm just a terrible caster.
If it turns out one of the most powerful single target damage and cc abilities in the game is uninterruptible without using precious stamina perhaps changes could be implemented to reward magicka builds for countering such abilities.
Thank you!!
