@ZOS Limited time offer mounts – extended time ?

I would like to request an extended time for the limited time offers such as the mounts which have been on the crown store from time to time. The last limited time mounts where available for two weeks. Being in the middle of vacation season people tend to be away for more than two weeks in the summer, which means people miss out on these limited time mounts. I’m a collector and I guess there are others like me who want to get all the stuff available.

So @ZOS is it possible to extend the period during the summer or even for the long run to one month so that it still a limited time offer but not so limited that you have to bring your notebook with you to the summer beach vacation.

This request is ofcourse for my own interest aswell as I’m going away for three weeks in August and not return until the launch of Imperial City, I noticed that there is a new horse on the IC information page which I think will be limited time offer. And really do not want to miss out on this one as I have bought everything on the Crown store which is currently available and as said before I want to collect everything.

Thanks for the understanding !

The Secret to Creating Irresistible Marketing Offers
When something is exclusive, scarce, or in high demand, it becomes more desirable. Whether they are whitepapers, free trials, memberships, sales promotions, or downloads, these irresistible elements can overcome a lead's typical friction, doubt, or concern.

Why do these elements work? Because they trigger a physiological reaction that makes an offer more valuable. People need to perceive the value of your offer to be greater than what you’re asking for in return. The higher the perception of value, the more irresistible the offer.

So, how do you make an offer irresistible? Let's break down the three ingredients for irresistible marketing offers -- go ahead and steal these for your next email marketing campaign, landing page, PPC ad, or promotional campaign.

    1) Scarcity

If you look at the principle of supply and demand, you’ll notice that when supply is limited, demand goes up. Scarcity has a psychological influence on us, making us want something even more if there isn’t enough to go around. Scarcity is great because it creates a fear of shortage, and thus a sense of urgency.

    Limited Time Offers

Limited time offers are among the most popular in the scarcity category. Just think about your average car dealership. Practically every commercial is a limited time deal. “Get 0% financing before it’s gone!”

A few weeks ago during the MarketingSherpa Optimization Summit, HubSpot performed a live experiment to test whether a limited-time offer performed better than if there was no scarcity factor at all.

We built two different landing pages, a control (no scarcity factor) and a treatment (limited-time offer), to promote the download of a special report, How to Segment & Integrate Your Emails for Better Results.

I personally hope they eventually go for the other tactic in this article, Limited Quantity Offers. Or they could combine the two! I guarantee if they sold a limited time mount that only had 2,500 available for $50.... they'd make 125K in about 1 hour.

Honestly what your post REALLY highlights is the need for us to have a Mobile App... more on that here: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/137561/what-features-would-you-like-in-an-eso-mobile-app/p1

@Gidorick nice post but there is a difference not being able to buy it or not willing to spend the cash. I dont care if they cost 25 USD or 50 USD I just want it. But I need to login to the game to buy it which is kind of hard when your not around a PC.

If I could logon the internet using my phone and buy the item I would not care if they are 2 weeks or as you suggest limited stock. But there is no such option yet to do that.

    So hence the request.

    Edit:

Just noticed the edit, yes that would be amazing. Like FFXIV has with their MOG station. However I doubt that they will implent this during this summer period.

I imagine that limited time mounts will pop up in the crown store again from time to time. I'm rather incredulous that someone who starts playing next year say and who wants a black panther mount will be simply SOL.
    I want spell crafting.

    My point wasn't clear.

You can't expect them to change a working and effective marketing strategy because ONE player won't be available during the "limited time"... because they would have to take all the "ONE player"s that won't be available during whatever period of time they have the mount available for into consideration.

But @Jared_lindsey86_ESO is right. They have yet to offer a "one time only" mount. They'll all be back at some point.

Pretty sure the short times is so subscribed players have to buy more crowns, instead of just waiting for the next months batch...

Or in short; Gief Moar monay!!!! >:)

This is very true. If they let the amount of time lapse a month, players would just wait until they get more crowns... This way they get subscribing players buying crown packs too.

    It's quite sneaky.
