I think your account should be hardlocked to a faction. Where is the loyalty and alliance identity?

Well there are multiple campaigns and with the travel to player being removed you are hardlocked into a campaign per faction.

Why hate on people who have alts in different campaigns?
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

I am not hating! I just see things a little differently! It is not wrong to play like you do. Not calling anyone out. Some of us are more tribalistic than others, some of us are not collective oriented. This aspect of the game adds a political dynamic which suits the faction war quite nicely I think.

So it is probably good the devs do not listen to me:)

My favorite playable races in TES are. Nord, Argonian, Dark Elf and Imperial with that said, my alliance was already decided before i even started playing the game. :)

So yeah. EP all the way.

And i dunno, it would just feel weird to play as any other faction in PvP.

This one was squarely in the camp of "One Alliance"! No shenanigans with spys and taunts and . . . .

But a compelling argument was made to me to try to balance out teams, as well as a chance to play against friends we had come to admire.
And I have started to refer to myself in the first person again (though some guildies periodically complain they miss the Kajiit). I have shared in other places my basketball analogy:
If I walk into the gym with 4 buddies and we are hoping to play ball, and there are only 1 or 3 guys shooting around, it is time for someone to take off the shirt even up teams and get a good shirts and skins game. You don't play 5 to 3! Not if you love the game.

But ZOS does not make it easy! The quests and content I found so enjoyable the first time through take TIME. Sure I could cut the time a bit with pots, but that strikes me as somewhat questionable. A game company is selling a means of bypassing its content in the process of leveling? Is the content compelling? Or is one compelled to perform it. Funny how I would not have qualms forking over a ten-spot to switch teams, but buying pots to help me bypass questing or time consuming grinding seems to undermine the value of gaming to me as an enjoyable pass-time or as an escape.
I feel myself wound up about spending time vs enjoying time; content vs grind; and the thought of adding MORE need to level and re-gear . . . .STAY ON TARGET

I like my analogy but it is not as easy as taking off a shirt->

There are my salty QQ leveling woes

The good thing about 2.1/1.7 is that those with multiple characters in difference alliances won't be able to select the same Home Campaign ;)

I don't think you can do that NOW, but I am not certain. I have not PvPed Red since I have started trying to level up a Blue toon. Leveling takes too much time and focus. You can travel to a teammate in a different campaign if the fighting dries out in whatever instance you are in, That might get a blue toon into a place you had homed as Red. But I don't think it will let you home opposing factions in the same campaign.

It seems as though ZOS is interested in making barriers to campaign swapping more steep. It seems to me that rather than create a population intensely competing for a zone you will find gate camping of one flavor or another as people who want to play find no willing opponents in the field. I will be glad to have alts homed in different campaigns in the hopes that at least one is hotly contended.

I used to agree with your position Cameron_Star . . . then I had a few boring evenings in my home campaign with no one to play against . . . . then I noticed a pattern of disparity in the populations and behaviors in the alliances . . . then someone suggested a remedy and proposed a challenge. . . .
I examined my conscience and found no traces of treachery only a love of a certain kind of play.

Despise me if it gives you RP zesty pleasure, but I am just a middle aged dude with a similar passtime to you. I like big battles. That is the reason I play ESO.
