Craglorn Surprised Me And Saddens Me At The Same Time

Do some of you have a reading comprehension problem? I never said Craglorn is broken or not working as intended. I said I was pleasantly surprised by it and wish that it was soloable so that I can really enjoy the main storyline and explore ES style.

Right now finding a group and questing is pretty much making me experience the storyline out of synch because there hasn't been one group that has been at the beginning of the storyline ready to methodically run through it quest by quest.

Craglorn dailies, reward is random CP-boosters, green 50%, blue 100%, purple 150% and legendary 200%, thats what Ive suggested to them. Also NPC recruiters for group finder found in Belkarth Tavern, people go there, choose what quest he wants to do and put NPC, leave or stay, another people go to Tavern, check the NPCs, choose if he joins or no, and leave or stay.

Great ideas! Craglorn has the mechanics in there for daily quests with some really cool mini-dungeons that can be completed in a reasonably short amount of time. But the XP and rewards are just not up to par, and when you complete it, it feels like a waste of time. Why not add some new exclusive loot to the Yokudan reward boxes that you get upon completion, make the difficulty scale like the Undaunted pledges, and bump the XP (which I think they intend to do with 1.7)?

Also, I think Shada's Tear needs some love too - it's a really cool dungeon, with an interesting backstory and introduces some new TES lore, but there is really no need to go back there more than once.

The problem with Craglorn is the rewards for the effort involved. No one quests in craglorn because you don't get good rewards from the quest handins at the end. You get some crap green and a lousy amount of XP. So most people dont go there looking to quest unless its for the pure fun of it. I think the concept of grouped content is fun and is in the same vein as 4 man dungeons or pledges, but to have no incentive to do them, its really hard to get a group going.
I'm kind of a small deal!

Explore ES style? Like get a group for Dolmens, Public Group Dungeons or Dungeons. Next adventure zone is for solo players. Why they do it is beyond me.

Thanks. I just love the vision that everyone run to Tavern in the morning.

Well (as someone who solo'd the majority of Craglorn), I would give you a few tips if you want to start soloing the area. Use Brawler + rally (2h), or sap essence (NB). That should do well enough for fighting groups. When you are forced to have a group to progress, just go into zone and start callin' out LF2M Warriors Call or whichever quest it is you're being forced with.

It's easiest to start soloing lower craglorn until you get the feel for it before going to the Upper side and trying it out. Upper crag is also solo-able, but really takes a lot to do so. I wouldn't recommend using steel tornado in Craglorn soloing, as well as impulse. The lack of personal utility to keep you alive will just end up with a blue screen saying "You died".

Once you get the hang of soloing it, start exploring! Play it like you would an ES game. Craglorn has quite a few small nooks and crannies people don't find often

Why is it not soloable? Too hard?

Quite a few of the quests have mechanics that need more than one person (at least the main story ones). You need people to stand on multiple pressure plates and stuff like that to progress.

    only in three of them

I'm sorry, but the zone is not the problem, it's your ability to socialize.

i went to craglorn and i was all excited to finally get to the "final" zone for i can get to VR14. than I found out everything is group oriented and since on console I cant just call out for a group i was just put off and now i am stuck wondering what I should do. I tried to solo a group delve, i got to the boss and i was like ... "nope!" lol huge giant dwemer spider. so i just snuck past it and left the delve and i have no idea how i am to get to VR14 now. i was just gonna farm the normal dwemer spiders in that delve but they didnt even give xp (that i noticed) or loot or even respawn lol :( .

so now i guess i am just gonna make an alt and level that up and only log onto my main to train in crafting and my horse.

and blah blah i know (now) its a group zone, but like i said console doesnt have zone text chat so I cant just wait for a group or call for one and i cant do so via guild since again no text chat. not to mention the zone was horribly deserted, the only people i did see was grinding mobs or only collecting mats.

I've been around since beta and am not a grinding, get to end game maniac. I also spent a lot of time in PvP. Recently for the sake of finally getting to V14 I decided to give Craglorn a serious try in order to rack up some quality xp. Man was I pleasantly surprised. Craglorn is in my opinion the most beautiful and interesting zone in the whole game thus far. The storyline is cool, the dungeons are large and feel very mysterious, and the enemies are fun to fight. I am really impressed.

On the other hand I am saddened because my enjoyment of Craglorn is at the mercy of finding a group. Further, finding a group who is up to the same quest as you. The little I have done so far in Crag is all out of synch with the way the storyline is supposed to go. It's basically I finally find a group and we do whatever we come across. Rather than progress through the story as its meant to be.

Craglorn group content is very fun but I wish that it was soloable so that I can really explore and experience the zone without having my hands tied to find a group.

Don't forget the part where you have to have multiple people to stand on floor plates to unlock doors, even if you (or you and a buddy) are strong enough to handle it on your own but for that little annoyance :).

    Many players many types

ZO's challenge is to cater for as many play styles as it can in order to try to keep ESO alive for more than a few years.

Personally, as soon as something is a grind, I move on (or have a break until a major expansion)
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

As a PS4 player this thread concerns me greatly. Exactly what I was worried about. Endgame content, broken group finder , no text box, a guild of 60 with 6 in voice chat and now I hear sequential group quests. Honestly this is going to suck big time. Does anyone involved with console launch have a clue what they are doing? I honestly feel like snapping the disc, I've been taken for an idiot before by faceless gaming companies it won't happen again. Sort your *** out and give consoles text for god sake
