I Just Strip Stuff Down When I Get It.

Yer I Loose A Bit Of Gold Cause I Probably Could Of Sold It, But Hey ... You Win Some & You Loose Some!

If Not, The Writs Are Good In The Major Cities .. They've Helped Me Raise My Crafting Levels A Bit.

Hope This Helps, Bit Of A Rookie On The Game Still. (Hope I've Not Told You How To Suck An Egg)
The great questions of the day will not be settled by means of speeches and majority decisions but by iron and blood

I went through my last 10 levels of clothier in a little under an hour. Find a town with a clothier merchant who has a lot of stuff on display, steal all of it, deconstruct all, log out and back in and repeat.

This also works for blacksmithing or woodworking, just find a merchant of said type of material and follow the same steps.

Some good places are Davon's watch and mournhold in EP, and The capital city of auridon (can't remember name at the moment) in AD. Haven't played DC enough yet to find anywhere good but I'm sure there are plenty of spots.

It's also worth noting, I found a lot of green improvement material doing this strategy, so a nice bonus.

Deconstruct any items you would sell usually. The daily crafting writ quests are helpful too. You can find them in cities and the quests are given on a board. You can also get around 300 gold and some crafting materials as a reward. :)

The absolute best way to get XP in Enchanting, Blacksmithing, Clothing and Woodworking? Get a friend to make something for you, trade it to you and then you deconstruct it. I don't know why they did this but you get extra XP from deconstructing something someone made.

If you are wondering I found this out when some guy gave me 4 glyphs for free in Elden Root on PS4 EU and my XP went flying. I tried this with a group a friends for the other crafts and it seems to work well.

So deconstruct something player made > deconstruct something found > make something > deconstruct something you made.

(Note: reading a book, as you may know, may level up your skill. 1 book = 1 level so this actual levels up the fastest but there is a low chance that you will find a book for the skills you want.)

The Inspiration went flying because they were a higher level. You get the same Inspiration deconning a Glyph an Alt of yours made as you do from another player. You get more, slightly, with Looted Glyphs.

In my initial testing with equipment, there may be some gains to deconning stuff made by another player, but the one I was testing with did not know how to gauge Inspiration.

Not sure what lvl crafter you are for woodworking but as some people already mentioned, you can gain a little extra from traded item that another player has created. From what i noticed also the writs are great. I was a lvl 23 woodworker and completed 2 writs from bangkorai and i was a 25 before i knew it. Of course it was 2 writs in 2 days hadn't had much time to play but you get the point plus i scored a bunch of yew which is good since i'm climbing towards that lvl with my char anyways.

Lvl up to vet ranks, preferably v9 or more - then all your loot in the last 2 areas of Cadwells Gold + Craglorn will be of nightwood, voidcloth, shadowhide and voidsteel - it provides the little extra something something to lvl up fast. If you run out of items, go grind some mobs for loot.
Crafting for the purpose of deconstruction is good, but slow since you have to stand still and press RRRRRRR for a while. It is faster in my opinion to just grind mobs for loot instead. But it's just my opinion :3

Not to mention you can only send 6 things at a time, and it cost for each email.

By grinding mobs, you get loot, including a chance to get Blue and Purple Tempers from the loot, gold, experience and you can level various skills as a good grind spot only requires two skills to use so there is room on the bar for things to level up.

In case mail gets returned, the 10 gold gets returned with it. You could alternatively port out of dungeon, repair and bank, then go back there.

Yeah I usually do lvl up skills and grind for trophies, otherwise I would bore myself to death with grind alone xD
